Great area! Just across the street from great local food trucks. Free parking in the Econo Lodge parking lot (fills up pretty quick) Also walking distance to the train to take you all around Portland.

I look at hotels as a place to rest. All that I require is for any room to be clean and the bed to be reasonably comfortable. My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights. I wanted to be in the middle of it all since was our first time in Portland and we didn't have a rental car....

This experience has me questioning my practice of spending less on lodging so that I have more for good food. For the pros, it was quiet when we were there. The bed was comfortable to me (my wife said it was too hard). Wifi worked. Cons? If you bother to look at the fine print at the bottom of the...

I'm sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay with us. We are unable to offer free parking, as we only have 11 spaces and 19 rooms. Most hotels/motels in the area do charge $15-$45/parking. We do provide an extra pillow and blanket in the drawer those that prefer. Our toilets are the standard size, unless you are...

This place is very good on a budget, you won't find any other hotels downtown at this price. $10 a night extra to park a car, and continental breakfast is either toast or a bagel with coffee and orange juice, but you're staying in Portland, so brunch is cheap and you have a dozen options nearby.

Good location (walking distance around town), friendly staff, clean/comfortable enough. If you're not planning on being in the room outside of sleeping and showering, then it's a fine option. It's essentially what you would expect from an Econo Lodge.

Conveniently located in SW Portland, in walking distance for all of downtown amenities. The rooms were very clean, and although on a busy traffic part of town, was very quiet in the rooms. The TV in my room was new, and didn't function properly, so both of the owners came to my room to get it working properly! Loved that...

I am so happy that we got the frozen CC screen off your TV. I really appreciated your patience with that! Thank you for your kind words regarding our property. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

No surprises. We were looking for a bed in Portland and TA turned up the Econo Lodge. A classic old Motel, (think Howard Johnson) located in the vicinity of the University. We arrived at 10am in the morning and Ricky, the amiable Manager, said no problem you leave your bags and come back at check in time. That gave us...

We stayed here for two days before traveling around the Pacific Northwest. Couldn't believe the prices of some downtown Portland hotels, so I picked the Econo Lodge as it was the only one I could (sort of) afford! I really wanted a place downtown without spending a fortune. The location was perfect for my boyfriend and I, but we're in...

I always struggle to review motels - it mostly seems to be you get what you pay for. But here, as other reviewers has said, you get a really warm, helpful reception. Lots of information on the city, nothing too much trouble. It is 5 min walk to get the street car which will take you all round the city...

The facility is exactly what you would expect. OK room, pretty clean. Nothing special about the room. Staff was excellent. Young lady that checked us in was super helpful about where to go and how to get there. Had trouble with wi-fi after office was closed and expected to not be able to log in (I use Linux). It was...
