Beautiful hotel and lobby connected to a nice bar and a Starbucks. Checked in to our room and found it to be very cool with a huge bathroom and awesome minibar (you get a minibar credit for every day you don't get your linens changed!) Some friends wanted to meet us at a local restaurant only to find out the...

The hotel was centrally located and interior nicely done! Rooms were clean and majority of the staff helpful. I did have an issue upon check in with the front desk clerk, Berlin. She did not have a welcoming or helpful attitude and was a bit standoffish. However, the hotel manager, Tessa Peterson had stepped in and was fabulous. She was...

The Sentinel Hotel is perfectly located in Portland. Each interaction with hotel staff was pleasant as each person was kind and helpful with no hint of impatient irritation which is often the case. The hotel itself is a wonderful blend of historic craftsmanship and modern style. The only criticism is that the lobby shares an open wall with a bar...

Before visiting Portland, my girlfriend and I were in contact with Tessa from the hotel via email / phone. With so much to do in Portland and just a few days available to us, she was able to provide us with lots of valuable information and helped us narrow down the best activities for our vacation. Tessa, thank you for...

Exceptional staff and outstanding accommodations. Very comfortable stay! $40 for overnight parking, but there are public parking lots around to park overnight. Love the restaurants close by and a Starbucks in the lobby.

A very comfortable hotel with a great location and excellent service. The Starbucks downstairs and Jake's Restaurant made the overnight stop so much easier. We loved our corner room with a gas fireplace and great view of the food carts and city below. We enjoyed the architectural richness of the old building.

Overall, the hotel had GREAT service. The location was prime, right next to great restaurants and coffee shops. There are other parts of downtown that were dirty but this part was nice and clean. The staff was incredible, I can't say enough great things about them. The only thing that sucked was the noise outside woke me up each day...

We planned to enjoy the city after a brief stay at the beach (Newport) and wanted something really nice. We also needed pet accommodations for our cat traveling with us.
