It was my third time to stay at University place hotel. Every time I come here, staff members welcome me warmly and they are really friendly and helpful. Rooms are usually wide enough if you choose deluxe room. I stayed with a guy and two girls at deluxe twin room, but it was comfortable. You can walk to downtown in 20mins...

Stayed here for 4 nights in March and I chose it strictly for the location. Max station right outside and walking distance to lots of awesome stuff. When I checked in, the guy was not friendly at all and his voice was SUPER annoying. He did not even offer myself or my family cookies!!! Not a good way to start...

Nice breakfast and clean rooms. It is convenient to do business or travel around in the downtown. The location is great. Housekeepers are polite. A good stay and would like to stay here again next time in my trip in Portland!

Staff are friendly and there are some restaurants near the hotel. MAX orange line's station is in front of the hotel. MAX green line is also just 5 minutes' walk so that it is easy to go downtown and the airport. PSU is close, quiet area. A little bit old but a microwave oven, refrigerator, and a TV set are...

Clean rooms, attractive, great buffet. First time we were here with 4 other couples and we are now back for our anniversary! We wanted to spend our money on great food and entertainment, so this is a good pick. Forgot to ask about parking fee ahead of time so needed to factor that in.

I didn't expect much from this hotel from the very beginning. Stayed here with a friend for a short trip, and it was exactly as described in previous reviews. The building is older, grey uninviting hallways, room is functional, but could be better. For example, there was a used towel and soap in the room when we got there. Not...

Just arrived this afternoon so not yet able to give full review. We found staff friendly and efficient. Comfortable room with plenty of room for work and relaxation. Short (18 minute) walk through Portland State campus and over to Market to the neighborhood McMenamin's on SW 10th. Even shorter walk to Revolucion Coffee on SW Clay at around 4th or...

What to say about my stay? You are greeted at Front Desk upon arrival with a cookie by the super cute Alex - if you are lucky. I want to take a moment and dwell on this guy because he is a guest service all star! The sort of individual with invaluable recommendations on the area dispensed with a smile...

Stayed here as it was one of the cheapest in Portland; therefore we didn't expect much. Sure there are newer hotels around but these also come at a premium. The hotel staff were friendly, rooms clean with free WiFi & the hotel is in a great location, with a MAX station right outside. The free breakfast is also a nice...
