Beautiful hotel, great staff and service. Will be back again, hopefully soon! Like the location and the fact that they are pet friendly. Was upgraded for free and conveniently located in the downtown area.Highly Recommended!

This little gem was perfect for my daughter and I- visiting Portland. Very clean, staff was great, breakfast was continental- not a lot of choices. If looking for a full breakfast- better to go outside of hotel. Overall- the stay was fabulous! So close to everything in!

A charming small hotel with impeccable service and many amenities, including afternoon tea & cookies, late afternoon wine, and a great breakfast buffet. Rates in January or February are an exceptionally good deal, making this our perfect annual winter get-away.

Thank you for such a nice review! We're a family owned, boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Portland. Our beautiful hotel has so many great amenities that set us a part from the big box names. We offer complimentary amenities throughout the day starting with our continental breakfast, followed by afternoon tea and cookies and then capping it off...

Nice location, room and staff. Location is downtown with walking distance to all you need including a giant book store and Roxy, a good 24/7 eatery. The room is roomy and nicely decorated. Bed is comfy, shower is hot and decent water pressure. Staff always friendly. 2 nights of wine tasting and a machine in lobby always on for hot...

Thank you for reviewing your recent experience with the Mark Spencer Hotel. I'm so happy our central location suited your needs during this visit. We're in an ideal location, where the West End meets the Pearl! Powell's Books is such a great place and it's easy to accidentally spend an entire afternoon looking at their vast selection. I'm glad you...

Mark Spencer is not the most glamorous hotel in Portland but it is centrally located. The front dek lobby area is somewhat tired and uninspiring. I booked a suite and it was spacious but again without a view and with an odor that made me open the windows to air the room out. Breakfast is included and is very basic;...

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. We're in a great location, just as you mentioned, where the West End meets the Pearl! Our Master Suites have a great view through the courtyard entrance of the building out on to 11th Avenue, but without all the bustling street noise can present. I apologize about the...

I stayed here with my husband and our puppy. The location can't be beat, their rooms are thoughtfully and elegantly designed and their service is very good. They gave us a small bag that contained treats for our puppy, as well as tips on dog-friendly places around town. They also provided us with water and food bowls for our puppy....

We love our four-legged guests! Our staff loves the opportunity to spoil our furry travelers and it sounds like they made your puppy feel right at home. How fun to travel with puppy?! Our location is ideal for those who like to walk around downtown. We're so close to so many great places including Bamboo Sushi, Cheryl's on 12th and...

We came to Portland for a wedding and stayed here upon the recommendation of friend's. The entryway is a little awkward (narrow and uncovered in the rain) and the lobby small and crowded, but once upstairs the hallways are full of old movie star pictures and momentos. The rooms have been nicely remodeled and include a small efficient kitchen. Wish...

Thank you for choosing the Mark Spencer Hotel for such a delightful occasion. Weddings are memorable times and I'm so happy we were able to provide a great experience. Each guest hallway and room has been completely renovated and the lobby will be the next project for our downtown boutique hotel. Our lobby espresso machine makes mochas, lattes, cappuchinos and...

We attended the wedding of our son and needed a room that had an area for guest to visit, a kitchen to make our own food on the run or late at night and room enough for us not to feel boxed in after four hectic days. The master suite provided all of that. The new remodel is great with...

Love the remodel of this hotel. The rooms are clean, the beds are very comfortable, and the bedding is crisp, clean, fresh feeling and very soft. The pillows were heaven. The space was well setup and the kitchen nicely equipped. We loved the location. We were thankful for the helpful staff.

Walking distance to theaters, shopping, Powell's, Pearl district, with personality (old hotel, modern amenities). Fun place to stay! And a free (cheap) wine reception with live jazz guitar on Friday 5-6. De-stressed immediately!

Thank you for reviewing your stay with us. I'm so happy you were able to enjoy the live jazz music we had over the weekend. It's a special event we do each year and it coincides with our complimentary wine tasting which we do each evening. Thank you for choosing the Mark Spencer Hotel for such a fun getaway weekend....
