Stayed at the Dossier for a night on a recommendation. Was visiting friends in the city and needed somewhere central. You are walking distance to everything you could need. Ride sharing is plentiful and you’re just a few minutes from the bridges across town. I pulled up to

I don't think a better review has ever been written (about anything, not just us). So grateful to you DK ninjaaaaa for taking the time to share your experience with our online community and we can't wait for your return to Portland. You are a gentleman and a scholar... and apparently a ninja. Which makes me think... how did the front desk staff see a ninja pass through the lobby? Clearly they, and Zach, should get raises. Next time hopefully we can guide you through exploring more of Oregon's impressive wine country! Your humble host, Jared Dayton, GM

We stayed here for 2 nights and would definitely stay again. This hotel is in a very convenient location which made walking around town easy and not exhausting. The staff were friendly and helpful, offered us advice on the best places to eat and things to do. The rooms were

Classy, Clean and attractive hotel. A couple blocks from everything, including the food truck row. If you luck out on Saturday night, you find Street parking in the same block, and the meter doesn’t start until 1 pm in Sundays! Otherwise, $45 for overnight valet parking.

Oooohhh I know what french bakery you are talking about... our dear 3-blocks-away neighbors over at St. Honore! Did you try the marionberry filled croissants?? Ugh, now I can't stop thinking about them. There is so much to explore, experience (and eat of course) in Portland, we are proud to have been selected as your basecamp for exploring the town. We look forward to welcoming you back rubberbubby for another fun happy hour at Rosa Rosa and another jaunt down to the bakery! Did I mention the croque madame there? The Vegetable tartine? Clearly you have to come back again if for no other reason than exploring the local cuisine. Thank you for sharing your experience and we look forward to having you again. Now I am hungry.... Your humble host, Jared, General Manager

Great location, awesome main floor restaurant/bar, free cocktail hour in lobby. Gym was adequate if not outstanding. Only slight on my stay was a room that was showing some wear and tear in the corners, but not a problem at all.

We stayed at the hotel on New Year's Even in order to have dinner at a nearby restaurant and attend the concert at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. The price was reasonable, the room was comfortable and quiet, and the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. You really

I too feel that resort fees are a scam for the reasons Rhiar23 describe above, but I can sometimes understand them in the cases of true "resorts" (with multiple pools, extensive grounds and amenities, etc.—true "resort" offerings). But for a little urban hotel in downtown Portland?? I don't get it.

I assume you can. The hotel is extremely close to the train. You could also call them and ask. They are very helpful.

Is there free parking?
There are a couple of parking structures close by that are about $10-15. I parked on the street during the day and missed my 2 hour limit and was given a $330 ticket. Definitely something to be aware of. I didn't know anywhere had street parking tickets like that outside of parking in a "handicapped" spot (which I feel should carry a high fine).
