In downtown Portland, right next to the conference center, with free parking. Plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Rooms are clean and large, the breakfast buffet is excellent, and the restaurant is good, too. The only down side is that the hotel is at a major intersection, so it can be noisy from traffic until late in the evening.

For the price paid for staying at this hotel you would think that the beds would be comfortable. But no, the bed we got was so uncomfortable and worn out that is you barely move the entire bed shakes. Three days we stayed and three nights my husband and I both didn't sleep. And both have neck pain. I explained...

Dear Justbeadit1, I am very sorry that you didn't have a positive experience. The staff did pass along the comments to our maintenance department, they ensured that the box spring and frame were in good condition, any adjustments were made, and that the mattress had indeed been flipped according to the manufacturer's specifications. We do care about the experience that...

This is my second stay at this hotel. To start - Classy, clean, upscale and affordable with an extraordinary staff. I had a medical emergency in the elevator and was found by hotel staff. The hotel contacted emergency services, and took amazing care of me while they waited for the paramedics to arrive. I was taken by ambulance to the...

Dear BoiseIT, Thank you so much for this recognition for the empathy and compassion of the staff. We are so grateful that you received medical care and that you are doing well. It runs a shiver down my back to think how scary and then relieving this was for you and your family. Good health, Scott Snyder General Manager

Just got back from my second visit to The Grand Hotel. It is a wonderful place to stay-right in the center of the city within easy walking distance to some great restaurants and shops. The staff is very friendly--you can't walk by the front desk without being greeted. Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The buffet...

It's a little thing, but it makes me want to do business with Grand Hotel down the road, so I decided to share it. I was booked for a getaway night, but then realized my trip would conflict with a former student's law school graduation. I also realized I'd missed the cancellation deadline by just under an hour. But I...

Very nice hotel in the middle of Salem. The hotel is connected to the conference center which is very convenient. Free parking which you don't see much any longer. Nice hot breakfast buffet. Every single employee that I came in contact with from the front desk, maids etc. would ask how I was doing. You just don't see that a...

I enjoyed a large, well-appointed suite (half of which I could have sublet and still had ample room!). The room had everything I need and more; there were two large TVs (one in the sitting room and one in the bedroom) I didn't try the TVs, but I assume they worked as everything else in the room worked well. The...

We were surprised an older hotel was this nice. The room was very updated and clean. A little loud but that can be expected in an older hotel where the rooms are close together. The free breakfast was excellent! Great location to downtown and within walking distance many restaurants.
