This historic home is lovely and comfortable. The daily breakfast is excellent and the staff is friendly and helpful. Plus fresh cookies! Just steps from the boardwalk, it's an excellent base for your Seaside adventures. The monstrous Wyndham resort next door does spoil the ambience a bit, but there's charm to spare!

Seaside in the off-season is delightful. I had an opportunity to discover new restaurants and stroll the empty beach in near-freezing chill. But it was all good because I knew I was returning to the Gilbert Inn, whose charm never disappoints. Staff is always so friendly and helpful. They make me feel so welcome!

Great B&B! Awesome location, just a short walk to the beach. We arrived early and was given a call when our room was ready (prior to the 3:00 check-in time). The staff was great! The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable!!!! We will surely stay again!

I was recommended this B&B from a friend that had stayed here and was not at all disappointed! Very welcoming from the owner and she was very helpful on where to eat and shop. I was in Portland for work and this was the perfect getaway for rest and relaxation. I happened to be there off season so it was...

We arrive late and were welcomed by a very friendly person who not only gave us a comfortable, well appointed room, but set us up in the lounge in front of the fire for a quiet evening at the end of a long day of travel, The ambience of the lounge with its tongue and groove lining, the antique furniture...

We are expecting our second child, asked Grandma to watch our oldest and off we went! We had such a glorious time, every detail was perfect and we made some awesome memories. I would suggest this special place to anyone looking for a comfortable, relaxing place to stay in a fun little beach town.

Everything was excellent. Our only issue was that we had to go to lobby area to use Wi-Fi. But, even this was okay since the lobby was like a very comfortable living room with really nice furnishings and fireplace. It was pleasant to here relaxing early in the morning or later in the evening when is was very peaceful and...

We stayed just one night. The room was on the second floors with somewhat narrow stairs but carpeted and navigable. Furnishings are opulent, very comfortable bed and clean everywhere. It was amazingly quiet for being almost beachfront. I would not hesitate to stay at Gilbert Inn again, but might choose a ground floor room.

Great value ! Staff is friendly and gives great recommendations for local food and things to do and see. Beautiful Bed n Breakfast about 1/8 to 1/4 mile from the beach, and they serve delicious homemade breakfast cuisine that ranks way up there !! Had a great time. Will be back !!
