Don't judge books by their covers, and don't judge the Celilo by its exterior. We were more than pleased by the terrific room, and all the extras. A nicer stay than we've had at several of the Hood River motels. Great view of the barges entering the locks at the dam, nice breakfast, and extremely clean room. A great bargain....

Traveling to The Dalles for business l picked the Celilo because it was close and had great reviews. I was not disappointed. It is very quiet, rooms are very clean and the staff is wonderful. Gunner welcomed me on the first night. He was very helpful and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. Paula another front...

My husband, dog, and I stayed here the weekend after Christmas after seeing a discount on livingsocial. What a lovely weekend we had! We'd never stayed in the Dalles before, and the Celilo Inn was clean, welcoming, and nicely renovated. In warmer weather, I can imaging this being a fun place for a group to stay (reunion, wedding, etc.) -...

Although I chose this hotel as it was a little more than halfway to our destination, it surprised me in many ways. The front desk staff, even withour late arrival, was very curteous and explained all of the amenities, local attractions, eateries and such. We went to our room, which was really immaculate. They had called two days prior to...

This past weekend we stayed for the 2nd time at Celilo Inn. We love to travel and the Columbia Gorge is a beautiful area to explore. The rooms are clean, classy and have a great view. Nothing overly fancy but very nice comfortable place to stay. The staff is always helpful, and the breakfast is just right. Thank you Celilo...

Whether you are traveling from Portland or towards Portland look for the small signs that have been placed off of the Highway. The property is located on the heights looking down on the dam. Private road takes you past some small homes. Check in is easy and we had a friendly person greet us. Local maps available, as well as...

Though it was not right off the highway, it was a nice & economically option. Friendly group of folks providing a good night stay with comfortable beds. BTW they do offer a glass of wine after checking in, much appreciated after hours of driving! :) Thanks!

We stayed for one night in the Celilo Inn. We came from Washington State and traveled towards Portland via the Historic Columbia River Highway the next day. The motel is modern, clean and not expensive. The staff at the front desk is very friendly and helpful. There are many recommendations for restaurants, wine bars and other things to do. The...

Thank you for your kind review. We take great pride in having a very quiet, secluded place for our customers, with a view! We do understand that the little drive in to town is not always ideal, but hopefully you had a great experience with our town once you were there. Thank you so much for choosing us!

The last time we reviewed this motel was 3 years ago. It was clean, friendly and comfortable then as it still is. This is our 3rd review since they opened. We traveled for Thanksgiving to my home town, taking with us, my service dog. Our room was a regular king, pet room. It was perfect for us. My husband signed...

The local know this place as "Eddies"— its former name— a mid-century motel high on a hill overlooking The Dalles Dam and the Columbia. Over the past two years we have stay at the Celilo Inn about 12 times, and maybe 36 days total. The Celilo is a very fun place to stay. The recent remodel has kept everything cool...
