I camped here with my husband and our two daughters ages 6 and 2 for 4 nights in August. I must say that we were worried about the temperatures, since it was August, but during the day it was in the low 80s and at night the mid 50s. It was actually quite a bit chilly most of the time... More

Camped in this park in August 2015 for 2 nights over the weekend. The bathrooms are some of the cleanest I saw in a PA state park. There is boating and swimming, though Lake Jean is currently under renovations and part of the lake is drained. Some of the fire rings do not have a grill top which makes cooking... More

A very good day hike (7 mile loop) loaded with waterfalls. Try to go off season or weekdays, as this trail can get crowded. The PA state campground is well maintained, about 5 miles away, and a good option for lodging.

Not a huge campsite, but clean and level. Gravelly, but was fine for our tent. Bathrooms were clean, showers were OK. Had a set of sinks for dish-washing which was nice. I'd stay again, hopefully when Lake Jean isn't empty. Access to the Falls trail is easy, and IMO a better trail head than the one on the main highway.... More

When we booked our campsite there was no mention of the fact that the lake was currently being drained and had less than 1 foot of water in it. We were then referred to a place called moon lake which is, and i kid you not, an ABANDONED STATE PARK WITH NO FUNCTIONING BOAT RENTALS AND YOU CANT SWIM IN... More

Long, some what difficult in places seven mile hike, but worth every step. Roughly 13-17 waterfalls in the loop and most are very photogenic. Nice Autumn photography opportunity, but we went in July and still got many wonderful shots of the falls.

Very close to the State Gamelands, we rent a cabin every year opening weekend of Buck season. The park rangers have never been a friendly bunch, but we've never had any trouble with them. A great place to bring sons for a weekend away from electronics. The waterfalls are beautiful, but can be extremely dangerous at the wrong time of... More

Saw lots of reviews about park rangers being tough. We did not see them for the whole weekend we were there except for signing in. Though when we did they were not the friendliest. Campsite was nice and it was a lot more crowded than I would have expected at that time of year. Falls were beautiful. Trails were not... More

This being one of the top rated Pennsylvania state parks we had to go see it. We stayed one night in the campground and I really liked our site because it was on the small Lake Jean. The campground was fine, bathrooms ok etc. Be aware the waterfalls are a trek from the campground. And also always be aware even... More

Wow, I agree with many of the Reviewers regarding the unique beauty of this state park, and a hiking experience like we've rarely seen anywhere else. I highly recommend folks visit this state park, do some challenging hiking, see the waterfalls, and spend the day. Be careful on the hikes, even as an experienced hiker and outdoor lover, some of...
