This is a wonderful hotel.
Pleasant staff which is very helpful. Great room with a beautiful view of an Amish farm. Woke up each morning to this great view and sat on a comfortable recliner. Room is huge with a great bathroom and stand alone tub.
Very clean.
Breakfast was great with an omelet station and waffle station and a hot buffet.
Pool was great and hot tub relaxing.
Nice touch to offer free coffee all day.
We will be back.

My husband and I visit every Thanksgiving! We love the amazing view of the Amish Farmland and the spectacular breakfast buffet with farm fresh foods, included in the room price. The 24/7 coffee and tea bar is also a YUGE draw for us. (They have water and iced tea as well.) We love breathing in the FRESH, country air too.

We felt very comfortable there during covid (because they are ALWAYS clean) - and everyone wore masks outside their room, etc.
The staff are so nice, especially Nora! I called before we arrived a bit early and she was wonderful and accomodating. It was obvious that the current onsite staff were working their tails off.
The older man who works evenings wore all hats: Checking folks in, bringing extra towels to our rooms, just running all over the place helping everybody. God bless him. There was a younger man also (bearded I believe) who also worked very hard.
We have already made our reservations for next year. Wouldn't miss it for the world!!

My mom and I took a break from being quarantined and stayed at the Amish View Inn & Suites for the weekend.

The staff did everything possible to make sure their guest were protected. Everything from the tv remote to the toiletries were wrapped in plastic. No one entered our room while staying there, everything (clean towels, etc.) was left outside our door in plastic.

At the wonderful breakfast buffet there were plastic gloves for the guest to put on and masks were required except when seated at your table. All tables were at least 6’ apart.

I had just had my cast taken off my foot and was in a boot. This was my first time walking around in 10 weeks. My foot swelled and became sore. My mom called the front desk to see if I could get an extra pillow to raise my foot up. Rosanne, at the front desk was so helpful and caring, I can’t thank her enough! She brought me two pillows and was going to bring ice, but my mom told her we had the ice machine across from our room and she would get it for me. Whenever we saw Rosanne after that night, she always asked how my foot was doing.

As always, the hotel, rooms, grounds, etc. were immaculate!

I look forward to staying here again, in fact I have reservations for next Summer already.

We were just here for the Thanksgiving weekend and was our first visit to Amish View Inn and Suites. We have been to Lancaster many times but never had the opportunity to stay here till this past weekend. It was fantastic in all aspects. The lady at front desk- sorry I forgot her name was so kind and friendly to us and gave us information about the hotel and what it offers. They have a daily made to order breakfast that is so delicious and the girls cooking from grill are so friendly and hospitable. We had a grand king room and this room was so large that we kind of felt spoiled. It offers a tremendous view of the Amish countryside and the bathroom is simply an oasis. there is a separate room for toilet, shower and a huge old fashioned soaking tub. It was really luxurious for us. The only thing I would suggest is offering a mat in the tub as I was slipping inside of it quite a lot- there is even a TV so you can watch it while you are soaking!! They have a pool & hot tub which was great especially after all the walking we did. It was so relaxing. We truly enjoyed our stay here and are making plans to return here again next year. They do have a loyalty program after 10 stays you get $100. That is very appealing to us. We travel to Lancaster every year. We highly recommend staying here, it is worth the little extra you pay.

Just returned from a stay at the Amish View and it was definitely different with the new plans in place for the pandemic. The hotel was very quiet and the staff tried to do whatever they could to make your stay safe and enjoyable. All the towels and supplies in the room were bagged to insure your safety. The rooms were very clean as usual and the staff always cleaning. The breakfast is not a buffet any more during this time and instead you place your order the night before and pick it up in the morning. I attached the list you can chose from for your breakfast. There was a lower rate for the room to reflect the difference. The breakfast was sufficient in my opinion. I definitely missed the all day coffee and water that the hotel offered before. I felt comfortable with the disinfecting of the room. I never felt uncomfortable with the situation. There was plexiglass at the desk upon check in and masks were worn by all. Definitely different but still a great stay.

The Amish View Inn is our home away from home whenever we visit the Lancaster area. Located in beautiful Bird-in-Hand, the rooms overlook a working Amish farm. Over the years we’ve gotten to know the staff and the wonderful General Manager, Katie, has seen my daughter grow from a toddler to a teenager. It is so heartwarming to be greeted like family whenever we stay at the hotel. They are doing a great job during these trying times. During our stay, housekeeping did not come into our room. Instead, we ordered the linens/towels we needed and they brought them to us each morning at the same time that the used ones were picked up. I thought this was a great idea and it made me feel safe. Gloves were provided at the delicious complimentary breakfast and hand sanitizer was readily available. The hotel is only a short drive from all of the attractions in the area. There is a restaurant, gift shop, theater and horse and buggy located right on the property. I can go on and on. The Amish View Inn is beautiful and I would never stay anywhere else.

My mom, sister, and I came to Lancaster County for a girls’ trip. We mainly came to see Queen Esther at The Sight and Sound Theater 10 minutes away in Ronks. This hotel turned out to be a great location as it was close to the theater, and right in the middle of Amish activities! It was also an hour and a half away from Gettysburg, and 45 minutes from Hershey.

I booked this hotel based on location and the amazing reviews on Trip Advisor. The reviews were right! This hotel was clean and the hallways had a nice clean fragrance. It had all the amenities we needed - room service, a DELICIOUS Amish breakfast buffet open 6-10 a.m. (be sure to try the Ferhoodle entree), and coffee and iced water/tea available in the lobby 24/7. There is also a mini kitchenette in the room with a fridge, microwave, sink, and coffee maker.

The hotel overlooks a vast cornfield, a beautiful view to wake up to and to watch the sun set over (ask for a room facing the back). There are Amish activities on site like buggy rides and a schoolhouse tour (at extra charge). We did the hour buggy tour with a very friendly Amish man named Chris who gave us a tour of a local farm. I believe it was $24 a person. Well worth the money!

The entire hotel staff was so friendly, including housekeeping and the cooks/chef. The front desk was professional and helpful at giving recommendations for dining and other activities. They were also very accommodating when we asked for blankets, delivering them our room within minutes.

I would absolutely recommend this hotel to friends and family, and would stay again!

My husband and I stayed for a weekend with a trip to Sight and Sound. Some of the Pros were very nice place and breakfast was delicious! Pool area inside very clean and nice. When we checked in the staff person on duty who checked us in was polite, but not friendly (this was our first visit here), on the whole the room was large and clean in most of the area, but the carpet was filthy, meaning I put on white socks and walked around for an hour or so, when I looked at the bottom's they were filthy. I have done this over the years staying at a hotel with dark carpets. I think they need a deep cleaning, also the shower tiles needed a deep scrubbing. I do not mind paying a higher amount for luxury rooms, but I expect just that! Also, there was a stain on the sofa cushion that I think just needed a wet cloth to wipe it off, so it needs a little more attention to detail. When we checked out, the staff person on duty that day again was polite but did not bother to ask how our stay was? You should always ask that, she just handed me a print- out receipt. Would I recommend someone to stay here, I am really not sure, when you are paying for a higher priced room and hotel, you need a little more than just a basic hotel visit.

Housekeeping doesn't come in and clean your room every night, you need to leave towels and garbage outside of the room and they leave new towels in a bag.
Stayed for 3 nights, if staying one night it wouldn't be an issue I guess.
They tried to claim covid, but then I overheard someone saying bc they couldn't find staff (news flash raise your salary a few bucks an hour and you'll attract more applicants)
Every morning the milk put out expired the same day. My nephew had a clump and we asked someone if they had any fresher milk not expiring that day and they went to the back and got it.
We had 3 rooms and 11 guests, we put 3 tables together at breakfast and a woman said not to do that bc they have other guests and it is an inconvenience for them to move the tables back.
We go to lancaster once a year and I already told my wife we're finding a new place to stay. We can get an airbb if I have to make my own bed and do Housekeeping.
Before the owner responds and says something like you could request full cleaning every night, my mother in law did and they didn't honor the request.

Thank you for your feedback. We always aim to deliver a great experience to our guests, and we are disappointed when we don’t meet expectations. We apologize for the inconvenience, we do our best to inform our guests prior to their stay of our current housekeeping service, and we’re sorry for any miscommunication. During breakfast hours we ask guests to keep tables in place since we have a high volume of folks wanting to have an enjoyable sit-down breakfast, that way we can provide the best possible service to all. Again, I'm so sorry that your stay with us fell short of expectations and we would love the opportunity to impress you in the future.
