When looking for a place to stay I came across the Valley Motel. The chain hotels right up the road were getting poor ratings, especially with cleanliness. I'm pleased that I picked the Valley Motel. It was clean and at a cheaper rate. The room furniture was dated but that was ok with me. The room had a refrigerator, comfortable beds and a table with 2 chairs. If I need a room in the area again I will definitely consider the Valley Motel.

This was our second stay here. This is a very basic, old style, strip motel. Not at all fancy, but quite clean and fresh. The bed was very comfortable. There was a mini-fridge, cable TV, DVD player, tub and shower. The heater/AC unit worked well, but is very loud. The blackout curtains did not close enough to completely keep out the light from the powerful light just outside our room. There is a train track nearby which may bother some - it didn't prevent us from sleeping.

Our first room was similar to our room from last year. But when we needed to spend an extra night and needed a room with 2 doubles, we were disappointed in the quality of the beds and bedding as compared to the room we had with the king bed. We also were much more aware of the noise from next door rooms and the train which runs close by. Also, the wifi was not working very well.

I do not know where the other reviewers stayed, but it could not have been here! It was a dark, dingy, stinky motel. We were in a non-smoking room. And while the room did not smoke, every person since 1902 had smoked there. There was a train which probably ran all night. Fortunately the A/C unit was loud enough to cover the noise. People have written that it was updated; a coat of paint does not an update make! The door locks were flimsy.
While the people at the desk were nice, the entire event reminded me of the Bates Motel in Psycho.

We recently visited the area for a family reunion. Were looking for something cheap but comfortable. We were not disappointed. The rooms were clean and neat and comfortable. The bathroom spacious. There was a slight "smoking" smell but not bad and though another review fussed about the trains we heard only a few and they came and went quickly. The noise was not a problem. There may not have been an iron and a coffee maker but there was a decent refrigerator, flat screen TV, DVD player, free internet and parking. It may not look like much from the outside but it was a good find. We would stay there again.

We made our reservation online after looking at several motels in the area. We had stayed at a few and were not impressed. Location at the end of the strip was good. Checkin went easy, Mgr and wife were very pleasant and accommodating. We parked directly in front of our room. We walked in and were very pleased. It was spotless and nicely decorated. Very clean. The a/c already on, smelled nice, (even tho we asked for a smoking room). King Bed was comfortable . We did hear the train but it was no big deal. Drawbacks were that we were going to be there a wk.
If we would not have been happy, there is no refund according to their policy. They also don't have a coffee maker in the room nor a microwave. For longer stays that is a drawback. We enjoyed our stay. Bought our own little coffee maker. Compared to higher priced motels in the area, we plan on returning here. No noise from up above either. Very happy!

I am assuming that this place dates back to the 1960's. But it's been very well maintained, so it's hard to tell. The floors were very clean. The carpets too. Had to pull out the dresser to plug in my phone and was afraid to look behind there. But surprise! It was spotless. :-)

They must have had a lot of trouble with people ruining their spa tubs. So you have to read through a list of "do's and don'ts", and you are also given a quick demonstration in your room on how to operate the tub so that you don't make a mess or break it. The tub was awesome. Bright red with red lighting over-top like a honeymoon suite. Like everything else, it was quite clean. Beds were comfy and the sheets were nice. Towels were white and spotless.

The room comes with a large mini-fridge (an oxymoron, I know), and a decent sized flat screen TV with HD hookups. It did not come with a microwave, coffee maker, or an iron. We never use these items, so we didn't miss them.

The only negative thing about this hotel is that it lies on a strip of land between a highway and a train line. If you are a light sleeper you may be put off by the occasional pitter-patter and train horn, or the muffled jake brake from the rear. But the insulation blocks out the most of it. When your neighbors are speaking at full volume you can hear muffled voices, but it's not bad.

The area around the hotel is great for a traveler. You have a Target nearby which provides a small grocery. A Denny's and a King's for some fine late-night breakfast dining. A bowling alley and "fun center" right next door.

Overall, a nice find! Glad we stayed here.

Was more than happy with my accommodations. Everything else in the area was not rated very highly but priced quite a bit higher. Basic accommodation for a reasonable price compared to surroundings. The highlight was the owner. She was so genuinely sweet and concerned for my comfort. Would stay there again if in the area.

This is an older motel that is being maintained well. Our room was clean and comfortable. Everything worked, save for the light over the tub. Good WiFi, small fridge (no freezer section), flat screen TV with cable and a DVD player. Our room had a comfortable king-size bed. Outlets are ungrounded, so you'll need an adaptor to use a grounded plug. This place can be noisy. Motel is located near Train tracks and is on a busy highway. However, we slept well. Owner/manager was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. This place is not fancy, but very workable.

Basic room and facility that met our needs. Close to the railroad tracks so noise a bit of a problem. Staff friendly and courteous. Coffee not available until o730 and we had to make the coffee at that.
