This hotel is convenient to Falling Water and is very clean and well kept. There are outside decks on each room, so if weather permits, you can sit outside and enjoy the view of a nice pond with lots of birds.

This is not a fancy hotel, but it's clean, and economical and in a great location for a great number of attractions. There's a pretty lake in front that the rooms overlook from their back decks. There's a minimal, but very nice, continental breakfast. No frills, but no problems.

The rooms look really old but somehow still clean and not dated, so it feels like a timetravel. Rooms, a bit like cabins, have view of a lake (where you're not allowed to swim) and beyond that a very noisy road. Breakfast is okay.

Like many others, we chose a night The Lodge at Chalk Hill because it was convenient to Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob, and a reasonable rate. For those purposes, it worked extremely well: our room was clean, the deck was lovely, and there was hot coffee (and bagels) ready for our very early departure. In addition, I left an old bit...

We chose this hotel for the location relatively close to the Ohiopyle state park and Fallingwater. However, the room was not attractive and smelled very odd. We opened the doors to air the room out, but the screens were missing on the sliding doors so we could not keep them open. The refrigerator did not work and their was no...

I made the reservation for this hotel over the phone, their website is clunky at best. The location is really good if you plan to visit Fallingwater, Kentuck Knob and Ohiopyle State Park, but that is the only benefit of staying here. The price for the room was not expensive, the AARP rate was around $78 plus tax. However, the...

On a road trip through Appalachia driving from Tennessee, it was the only place since WV that would take my sister and me for an after midnight check in. Very hospitable, good room, and lake view, we were very pleased with our last minute reservations.

First of all, there are very limited choices for hotels/motels that allow pets in the area. We were stuck with The Lodge at Chalk Hill. Please allow me list the complaints for this place: 1. The lobby stinks of body odor, food and dirt. 2. The room was very musty. 3. The toilet would not flush. 4. We reported the...

I made a reservation for two nights over the phone. I spoke with a man. Upon arrival the lady could not find my reservation and acted like i was lying. I finally ask her if we could get a room, she said we could. She did up the price from the phone I was quoted on the phone. I thought...

I spent 5 nights total there at $90 a night. The entire time I was there I only saw one other couple stay. The staff treated guests like they are bothering them, not as paying customers and the reason they are in business! It is an Indian family who owns it and they are extremely unpleasant. Beyond that, it is...
