My husband and I were looking to get away for a few days to celebrate a special occasion. We also wanted to bring our "four legged traveling companion" as well. In doing a search for pet friendly lodging, we happened upon Hamanassett Bed and Breakfast in the lovely Brandywine Valley of PA. Proprietors Ashley and Glenn provided a lovely stay...

Owners, Ashley and Glenn Mon, welcomed us into their beautiful bed and breadfast and made us feel like family. Their charming home and personalities helped us enjoy our stay in this historic part of Pennsylvania. Their attention to detail met every need possible, and breasfast was a sight and taste to behold! We would definitely recommend Hamanassett B & B...

This lovely B & B offered by two most gracious hosts was a joy to use as our home as we visited the Brandywine River Valley of PA. Breakfast was divine, always including fresh or cooked fruit. Plenty of common space as well as lovely, comfortable rooms made the home ours for the duration along with the cookies and lemonade...

My wife and I have just spent three nights in the Devon suite. We were very happy with both the warmth of the welcome and the standard of the room. The room is a spacious suite, with a proper sitting room. We would recommend it to anyone. The house has three seperate common seating areas. There are books, games and...

I am in my 40's and have travelled extensively, I recently stayed at Hamanassett for one night in the Devon Suite. This was a last minute booking and initially Ashley was very accomodating in the tour of the B&B, room and security procedures with the front door lock and emergency phone number just in case. So, I started off being...

When I first read Sole Traveler's comments I was mortified that I had failed to meet her expectations. Upon reading her other reviews, I realize that I am in the company of many other fine properties that also could not meet her needs, including the one that referred her to us. This knowledge does not mitigate my shame for hurriedly...

We made a last minute decision to do an overnight getaway so I had little time to research B&Bs in the area. I kept my fingers crossed we would luck out with our pick. I am so happy we chose Hammanassett for our stay. Ashley was helpful and friendly from the first phone call until the minute we departed. The...

We just spent a lovely 20th wedding anniversary weekend at Hamanassett. Reading all the fantastic reviews here convinced us to follow our instincts after visiting Hamanassett's website. Ashley and her cooking were just as amazing as described in all the reviews here, as was the beauty and upkeep of the property. Glenn greeted us very warmly upon our arrival and...

Stayed for a weekend at the 1898 mansion filled with real antiques (not reproductions) in a suburban setting, with enough land for horses, dogs, and gardens. Many things to do and see in the scenic area - lots of country roads with homes and walls of field stone. Had dinner at Simon Pearce which was very good. Hosts Ashley and...

Thanks to Hammanassett hosts, Ashley and Glenn, and the wonderful B&B they run, my mom and I had a very special Mother's Day weekend. Ashely and Glenn always had recommendations at the ready for restaurants, wineries (definitely ask them their favorite--it's worth it!), and sights to see in the Brandywine Valley (Winterthur, Longwood Gardens, etc.). The location is beautiful and...
