After spending our first Valentines Day in Paris, i wanted to not necessarily top that, a virtual impossibility. I considered what many consider the two most romantic islands in the world, Tahiti and Bora Bora, but we had just returned from a 10-country pre Christmas tour of Europe followed by Christmas in Banff and Lake Louise in the Canadian Rockies,...

Being a long-time B&B lover I was a little skeptical about how the Tara would hold up to my overly critical expectations :) I received the one night package as a gift. Not a huge fan of Gone With the Wind I was expecting something a little corny but I was very impressed by everything. The food is excellent. There...

We first visited Tara 17 years ago, and looked forward to returning. The place has been beautifully maintained with gorgeous, lushly furnished common rooms and elegant bedrooms. The bed was very comfortable, and the two-person whirlpool tub in the sunroom an added bonus. There were a bottle of sparkling wine, fruit and cheese in our room, compliments of the management,...

We spent one night here just to relax after a busy week. Tara is a beautiful property both inside and out. Room was nice, had both a fireplace and Jacuzzi tub. Staff was all dressed in period clothing, Everyone was helpful and friendly, Food was amazing! The only negative is that the stay is very pricey,

Everything about Tara was wonderful-the grounds, the accommodations, the décor inside the house, the food, and all the staff. We had arranged a small group private dinner for our 50th Wedding Anniversary which was very well done and several members of the staff wished us a happy anniversary. The staff seems genuinely glad we were there and made us feel...

We decided last minute to head to Tara for our 20th anniversary weekend. We had spent our wedding night there and have gone back several times over the years. We had perfect weather which allowed us to walk the grounds and visit the lake nearby. Our room had a beautiful, antiques armoire that I felt like I shouldn't have even...

This is our 4th stay at Tara. The Inn is beautiful, the grounds are beautiful, the staff is extremely pleasant and accommodating. The food is delicious! We have only eaten dinner at Stonewall's Tavern, which is excellent. You get plenty of food. If you have leftovers they will refrigerate them for you to take when you leave the Inn. Breakfast...

The Inn is a beautiful place to stay with an equally beautiful package deal available. We stayed here on the ‘Gone with the Wind Package’ and it was a great value, with so many extras included. The price may seem high, but it includes so much including all tips. The property is historical and perfectly maintained, while allowing guests to...

My husband surprised me with an overnight stay here this past weekend for my birthday. While it was too cold outside to walk around and appreciate the surroundings, the Inn and our dinner were phenomenal! I don't want to rewrite what other reviews have said, or what you can find out on their website, but suffice it to say that...

We scheduled a trip to Tara to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We had looked at this hotel before but were nervous about the price - we were wrong!! From the moment we arrived the staff could not do enough for us. From chocolates on the pillows to the champagne and snacks every detail was accounted for. My wife even remarked...
