We stayed in a 2 bedroom condo with our 4 children for the long MLK weekend. Yes.... the rooms are very dated (think late 80s, early 90s) but our place was clean!!! This was our first get-away since the start of the pandemic so I was very concerned but overall I was happy. I brought Clorox wipes and wiped all surfaces just to be extra cautious and we brought our own sheets, pillow cases and comforters. The kitchen was fairly well stocked and utensils were new and in wrapping. I would just say that they should have more restrictions regarding the use of the indoor pool - we are in a pandemic so having 40 people, without masks, in an enclosed space is probably not the smartest idea. They should have families reserve pool times as they do in other facilities. We attempted 2 pool trips but went back to our condo bc we found it too crowded for us to feel comfortable. Third time was a charm and kids had a blast!!

Stayed here recently at a timeshare property . They don’t have the desire to spend the little money it takes to properly maintain a timeshare unit . Upon checking in to the unit we stayed it was painfully obvious it was not cleaned , much less disinfected . Glad we brought wipes and paper towels because there were none . Regarding the decor , the 1960s called and they wanted their furniture and drapes back . Pity the timeshare owners who have this to look forward to . Come on Wyndham , at least make an attempt at caring

Sadly our stay was nice but that was where it ended. I left a bag of my clothes in our unit (which we left clean and all trash removed) and called right away upon arriving home, told them what I left and where it was. It was our Wedding Anniversary so I brought some of my favorite things to wear. I even offered to drive back and pick up my clothes but was told I had to enter the info on a website and "don't worry, you will get them back as soon as the unit is cleaned". No one went to the unit, no one called housekeeping to let them know and surprise....no one turned them in, actually the desk said they were likely mistaken for trash and thrown out, really? Worst of all was the same girl laughing at me and being sarcastic about my being upset. I have written to their corporate and asked for some accountability or recourse and nothing more than automated responses. Several hundred dollars of clothing gone and no resolution or even a simple apology.
PS the time share "sales talk" went on so long that we missed our paid for horse ride. After researching the Point System and the monthly fees we are SOO glad we did not buy into it, and after our customer service experience and lack of response, I can not imagine how issues with something bigger would be handled. I guess the company is too big to care, sadly.

After driving 3 hours with my wife and kids for our only vacation this year we were told our reservation was cancelled because they overbooked. While I was in line waiting another woman was making frantic calls because the same happened to her. She said Why no phone calls ore e-mail? They just basically shrugged their shoulders. She said she booked 4 days ago. I said well I booked 4 weeks ago so I should be good. The man behind the counter looked up and said "If you booked with booking.com most likely you too. we have 40 over booked reservations" Sure enough when my turn to check in came I was cancelled. There were 2 men behind the check in counter and 4 women behind the concierge counter. No guests at all at the concierge counter. You would think that they would at least assign them to help find accommodations for displaced guests... but no. I also asked why no notification and he said the manager or booking.com should have contacted us. So after a call with booking.com they said that Wyndam should NOT HAVE cancelled us. Booking.com preceded to find us a reasonable alternative. No pool or mini golf that we promised the kids but close enough to the watergap. That tells me Wyndam is the party that dropped the ball. Looks great on paper but I will NEVER book with them again. Would be too nervous about arriving and not having a place to sleep.

We booked a 4 night stay (Sept.30 to Oct.4, 2020) and arrived at Unit 142 by School House Rd/River Rd.. To our disappointment upon checking in at our assigned unit, we found the carpeting (living room, stairs and bedrooms) dirty. The air vent under the stair was also very dirty. For a billion dollar company trying to make a sell in this Covid-19 times, this is a big NO.NO. We reported this to the their office that same night and a cleaning lady arrived the following day. The cleaning lady tried her best to vacuum the stain on the living room carpet but to no avail. She said a deep shampooing will be needed to remove the stain but she is unable to do it since the unit is occupied. The 3 bathrooms were all relatively clean but if we have to book at Wyndham again and any another resort area, I will surely bring one of those UV light germ detection devices. Being on the safe side, we have to dish wash all the utensils, plates, cups, etc. again before using them. Since it was the end of summer already, the place was quiet. Free Wifi was good enabling one of my daughters to work. Not much to do withing the resort area because most of their facilities (swimming pool, gym, etc.) were all closed because of Covid-19. Would I like to go to Wyndham Resort at Shawnee again, not again in the future.

I booked a unit through Airbnb. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Upon arrival, we walked in the unit (R166) and noticed the floors weren't clean. There was a q-tip on the bathroom floor, a piece of trash on the kitchen floor, crumbs on the dining room table and chairs and really dirty underneath the table. I called housekeeping to come back while we were at dinner to clean the floors so they vacummed while we were gone. Coming in knowing it was not thoroughly cleaned made me wonder if surfaces were really disinfected which is important during a pandemic especially. As we were sitting in the living room later that first night we started getting whiffs of what slightly smelled like wet dog or musty. Before that, we were playing a game with our 3-year old and he dropped a game piece under the couch. My husband lifted up the flap and there was a random pill on the floor!

I got a hold of the Airbnb host later that night to let her know we were not happy. She offered to move us to another unit but at that point we already had stuff unpacked and frankly I'm not confident the other units would be much better since it's the same housekeeping taking care of the resort. She said she'd ask housekeeping to do a more thorough cleaning the next day. Housekeeping never showed up the remainder of our 3-night stay!!! They told the host they were there at 6pm the next day and we were there at that time and they never showed up. They also told her they'd call me directly the next day and they didn't.

I think updating of the furniture, etc would fall to the owner though? The master bed mattress was terrible and we just sunk to the middle. The couches really need to be replaced too; really uncomfortable and sinking in, plus a rip on one of them that looks like someone did a bad sewing job on.

I appreciated our Airbnb host refunding one of our night's stay to make up for this. But Wyndham Shawnee is terrible though and I would not refer anyone to stay there.

Villas were nice and spacious, very clean as well. Kitchen was well stocked (plates, bowls, cups, etc). Laundry and dryer inside the room itself were very nice. Good amenities, although I was placed quite far from the clubhouse with the main pool and activities. (Very short drive though, but long walk). Indoor gym was very nice, had volleyball net and full basketball court. 8ball pool, Badminton, Ping Pong, all were very nice and in good order (You do have to ask for the rackets for badminton and ping pong, and 8ball was paid at $1.50 per play but was excellent). Fitness room was good, had cable fly machines, and dumbbells from 5 - 50 pounds, and 2 benches. Around 3-5 various cardio machines. Gym was overall in very good condition.

Good:
Kitchen is decent size.
Room had a washer and dryer.
Okay overall layout which permits some kind of privacy.
Lot of green areas nearby.

Bad:
Check in process very slow. Supposed to be at 4:00 and ended up getting the room after 6:00.
Alec from Front desk forced us to go to a sales presentation claiming it is not. But is a sales presentation nonetheless.
Carpet need heavy shampooing. White socks turned black after minutes.
Living room furniture are outdated and uncomfortable.
Master bathroom is petite size and terribly designed (they should put the toilet where the shower is and make a bigger shower).
Noisy air conditioner.
Poor resort activities (seen a lot better in other resorts we have been to).
Room exterior was needing a power wash. It was done during out last day with bleach and the odor was so strong we had to leave the room and report it to the Service Manager.
Location location location... even at the price we got it is not worth it.
Employees do not greet guests or anything (even if they don't mean it), very impersonal.
There was no grill nearby for barbeque.

I stayed from April 12th 2021 to the Friday. I had two units ( homes) this was my third time. The first time was blood on my sheets, the second time no heat, no hot water.... both time’s using time share. The third time I said let’s see, because they do have a pool for the kids. The first night all the power went out! My kids were scared so I only used one unit that night Ridgetop 117 and 119. I kept texting and were filled with inconsistent replies. Also spoke to people that night in the area, they said the place just went down hill, they witnessed fights an etc...
The power finally came back the next day. That day on the 13th I spoke to Greg a manger, he assured me that I would receive a compensation refund for the two units for the first night. I have never received it! Everytime I text( you can text them) he’s busy or he never returns my calls. This was the last time, people pay too much money for inconvenience an inconsistent stays. I will get my compensation I was assured.

Great opportunity to stay several days at the Wyndham Shawnee Village Crestview 288, a 4-bedroom fully accessible unit. The furnishings were comparable to Bonnet Creek. This unit is totally capable of handling a wheel chair from the zero step entrance to the accessible bathroom. Housekeeping did a fabulous job and maintenance handled a couple small things for us. Thanks for a great stay!

Only service dogs are allowed, but depending on their management team... I’ve seen non service dogs. Call to confirm for sure sure and make sure it’s someone at the actual location ( get their name/ time you spoke to the individual(s).
