Should anyone have any doubts about the potential of B&Bs as against Hotels they would be quickly dispelled if they stopped here. Highest standards set in every department and so top accolades to Yvonne and Bob

Westfield B and B is right on the route of Hadrian's cycleway, with safe cycle storage. Beautiful ensuite bedroom/sitting room with a lovely view, outside sitting area and fresh milk for our tea/coffee. Friendly owners who booked us into the Red Lion opposite for our evening meal. Food and service there is second to none. Similarly breakfasts at this B...

Took the kids for an overnight trip to see Hadrian's Wall and Vindolanda. Westfield is ideally located for visiting the Roman Army Museum, Vindolanda and for walking along some stunning sections of the wall. The family room was great. Plenty of space, comfortable, clean and with it's own private entrance it was ideal for us. The breakfast was excellent and...

It was perfect the moment I drove into the street, with Bob walking out to show me where to park. I stayed in the lovely Green Room, which came with a comfortable room, some extra living space for a tv, sofa, fridge and wardrobe. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided and there was a thoughtful bottle of fresh milk...

We have just returned from an 8 week trip around UK & Ireland using 41 different B&Bs and found Westfield B&B in Newbrough a very nice place to stay. It is located close to Hadrian’s Wall with off street parking at the side. Upon our arrival we received a warm welcome from Yvonne. The room we were allocated was clean...

When we spoke to the owners and asked where they recommended to eat whilst staying with them, they spoke highly of the Red Lion across the road (subject of another review). Not content at recommending somewhere, Yvonne then asked if we wanted her to book a table for us. That was the sign...

We had a lovely family suite with a sofa and comfy chair. The French doors opened out onto the garden with patio furniture and a pleasant view over the fields behind. The breakfast was very good and I particularly liked the jar of locally produced honey, instead of the inferior catering sachets that you get at so many hotels -...
