We thought it would be neat to try tiny home life for a night while attending a local event and were not disappointed. Super cute, tiny but adequate, accommodations. We stayed in a unit called Climber which seemed to be a bit unfinished (bare wood ladder to loft and bare wood ceiling in bathroom) but was surprisingly pretty inside. It has everything you need if you don’t need a lot of space and like your companion. The loft space was too small for either of us (5’5”) to sleep but the couch/main bed had a trundle bed underneath which was perfect. Neither were super comfortable but worked for our short stay. The office staff were very pleasant and the grounds are nice, woodsy with a lake and outdoor seating area with fire pit. We were looking forward to trying the hot tubs/spas but they were right out in the open with no nearby shelter which we felt was awkward. Overall, very good experience and would recommend for a short stay.

let me say the property is very cute. however i dont think they should charge $25 for a tour?? anyway.....we were there for a 2 day event. a lot of our vendor friends stayed there also. #1 when we pulled up to door tons of duck poop. i mean tons. over looked that i mean nature..... that night we came back to go to bed. pulled sofa bed out and the mattress pad was disgusting. Late at night so we covered it and went to bed. next morning we went to make coffee....all we got was brown cool water... ugh.... When i let the place know the next day, they said well you should have told us....well it was midnight and 6 am. i dont think anyone would have come. and basically told me too bad.....i asked for a small refund....because i would give them a second chance.... they said no. They also charge almost $28 for occupancy fee on top of the 3 other taxes they charge. So our $135 night turned out to be $176. lesson learned.

We just got back from a weekend stay at the Tiny Estates. Check in is from 3-6 only and if you are arriving after you will need to call ahead and make arrangements to have the keys in a lock box. We made our way around the lake to our house and loved the fact that each tiny house has a single parking spot right in front. First impressions of the house was it was very bright and light. The longer we were there and the more we looked at the house we noticed the details just were not there. I get it’s a rental but basic cleaning is not being done in between rentals. The upper windows had dead bugs, the doors had dirt where hands are placed, and dust was on all the shelves. I think they do a quick sweep and emptying of the trash and that’s it. It would be great if they had dimmers for the light since at night laying in bed you either had bright light or total darkness. Also the guest WiFi was not strong enough to work anything while we were there. We kept getting an error message that they connect was poor when trying to watch anything. Our phones also did not want to load or do anything when connected to the WiFi. We did not use the community areas so we cannot speak about them. They do have two areas that have a hot tub and a fire pit with couch in each area. I know this place just opened and I hope they can nail the little details because this is truly a cute little place I wanted to love. If they can better clean the houses I would love to come back. They offer different size tiny houses for everyone.

We were so excited about our trip to a Tiny House. Upon our arrival it was clear the Developer had not been cleaned. The toilet, kitchen sink and floor were dirty. Abby came to do a cursory cleaning but we felt there had never been a thorough cleaning, especially in these Covid days. The TV did not work, but we had plenty to read. Unfortunately we would not recommend Tiny Estates to our friends. We did have a pleasant trip to an Amish market and Gus’s for a meal.

I found out about this cute little community on a Facebook post about escapes out of Philadelphia. After watching Tiny Homes on HGTV and hearing about this place we gave it a try. We stayed for 2 nights in Rumspringa. It was so cute, decorated adorable and super clean. It is conveniently located between Hersey and Lancaster. We enjoyed playing the lawn games but due to Covid did not use the hot tub. Also, enjoyed wine, beer and cheese in the nice chairs around the pond. We ate at local restaurants but we could (if we wanted) to cook in the fully stocked kitchen or use the communal grills. There is air condition (our loft was a bit hot so we went and bought a small fan), hot water for the shower and WiFi (but we did not do work while we were here). Our tiny home slept 4 but I would only recommend this for 2 adults and 2 small children (under 8) otherwise it would be really tight. We will totally be back to enjoy this community!

My family and I recently stayed here at The Journey. The house was clean and comfortable, they provided clean linens so we could make our own bed due to Covid, which I appreciated. Lots of cute ducks walking around and it was very peaceful and relaxing. One thing I will mention is that they hire lovely people. Had a chance to chat with a lovely housekeeper (can’t remember her name but she had tattoos on her arms) and she provided a genuine conversation which was nice in this day and age. She gave my daughter her bracelet because she loved it so much. Very sweet girl who made you feel so welcome. Check in/out process was very simple as well. Would definitely come again. Thanks for the great trip!!

We stayed in the Forever Young home and it was perfect for a few nights for two. The location was great for day tripping and very close to so much. It was easy to find, checkin/out, and a quiet relaxing area with wildlife and ponds to watch. We can’t wait to return and try out another style home.

Place s nice, close to grocery and stores but houses are really dirty, counters and beds are dusty. Toilet bowl was dirty. Linens smell. Beds are dirty. Lots of mosquitoes and bugs. Not a good place to go esp with coronavirus situation.

BEWARE – FILTHY AND DISAPPOINTING

I wish I would have been more diligent before booking here. There are many warning signs and honest reviews that align exactly with our experience. I hope this review will prevent you from falling into this same trap and wasting your hard earned money.

Please Note: It’s clear from our experience and interactions, as well as those of other recent reviewers, that Tiny Estates is absolutely aware of these reoccurring cleanliness and rundown rental issues, but is refusing to deal with them.

Our Experience:
We arrived late in the afternoon, around 4 pm, and after dropping our bags in the tiny house, decided to go for a walk around the pond, to take in the many different tiny houses. After returning to the tiny house, we were really excited to settle in a cozy up – but that’s where the excitement ended.

Upon walking in and turning on the lights, we noticed scuffs and stains all along the walls and floors. But we figured, “okay, it’s definitely been used, no big deal”. Then we discovered dirty, grimy cups in the kitchen area, gross! Then we tried to relax on the couch, but found it was covered in brown stains – yuck!
We then checked out the bedroom and – oh my! The mattress and sheets were covered in brown stains and other debris. Even the “clean sheets” had other people’s hair covering it! The headboard and wall was filthy, stained, and had ants crawling all over it.

Let us be clear – we are campers & hikers – we are not easily scared away by a little dirt or bugs… But given COVID-19, and the MULTIPLE communications during booking process that said everything will be “cleaned and sanitized” – we expected a clean and hygienic room to stay in, which is no where near what we got. If the sheets and glasses weren't clean, then how could we trust that it was properly sanitized considering the pandemic?? We couldn't and we didn’t feel safe. After writing a long email with several photos, we packed up and left, after no more than 3.5 hours. Tiny Estates responded by claiming “they didn’t see any of the issues we reported”  despite all of the photos provided. Then later admitted “things get and missed and stuff happens” – but actively refused to make the situation right.

We aren't the first people to have this experience either; apparently it’s happened to several others before us. Given that this business is charging top dollar ($160+ a night), this level of disregard is absolutely unacceptable.

We were professional during our interactions and hoping they would do the right thing and issue a refund – but they refused.

CAUTION: DO NOT STAY HERE.

My sister's and I rented a tiny house for a weekend getaway. The price was great, the tiny house was just like out of a magazine and the landscaping so beautiful and scenic! Will be visiting again in the future!
