I've stayed at the Smithton several times in the past few years and it continues to be one of my best travel experiences. Rebecca and Dave are fantastic hosts, the beds, linens and towels are excellent, the snacks and breakfast are delicious. The Smithton Inn always has a cozy feel and a warm welcome... all the things you're looking at... More

If I could write a review about our guests and was writing one about YOU, the title would be "Always a pleasure to have her stay at the Smithton"!!!! When I see a reservation from you come into the system, it always makes me smile and look forward to that week, no matter what other craziness is going on! You... More

My daughter surprised my husband and I with a get-away at the Historic Smithon Inn in Ephrata, PA. What a charming experience that was! We stayed in the Crimson Dove Suite which featured a fireplace, garden tub for two and antique furniture including a canopy post bed. The owner and staff were very helpful and no detail was left undone.... More

We have stayed at the Smithton twice, both time in the room on the end that is two stories tall. Such a great room because you get a little kitchenette which makes it a great base for visiting locations all around Amish country and gives you the flexibility to keep your own food handy. Our son loved the little built... More

I'm so glad you liked the Tailor's Cottage, I agree, it's a wonderful space for a family to stay in while you're exploring the area. And the good news is that there are LOTS of great activities all around us for families to enjoy, so I hope you manage to find some time to come back & visit us again... More

This inn is a delight: Well preserved on the edge of PA Dutch country and a few blocks from the Ephrata Cloister, one of the more interesting historic sites to visit in Lancaster County (if you're in to that kind of stuff, and I am). The inn was built in 1763, before the American Revolution, and replaced an even earlier... More

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay with us but I SO hope you come back again so I can give you the "proper" breakfast experience!! I happened to be out of town when you stayed (no excuse, that shouldn't matter...)... but for me, cooking a wonderful breakfast is my favorite thing about owning a B&B, so it's important to me... On Veteran's Day, Rebecca and Dave were kind enough to offer rooms to veterans as a way of "thanking" them for their service! We were lucky enough to be able to enjoy their beautiful B & B and fine hospitality. The Inn has such historic character but also modern amenities like a whirlpool tub!! And then a nice relaxing evening... More

I've stayed a few times at this B&B and it's really just about as good as it gets....prices are fair, the rooms are AUTHENTICALLY furnished with antiques etc BUT are COMFORTABLE and have all modern amenities, the owners are friendly but not intrusive and the breakfast is really delicious. Those factors add up to a perfect B&B in my book.

I stayed here before when the inn first opened several years ago. I thought the Crimson Dove room was my favorite, but this time I stayed in the Tailor's Cottage, and that's my new favorite. A dear friend and I stayed at the cottage attached to the Inn. We each had our own floor and privacy, plus the main house for great, indulgent breakfasts in the dining room and late night hot chocolate and home made cookies in overstuffed chairs by the fireplace in the living room. Comfort, warmth, friendship ... what a delight!

Just returned from a fabulous girls weekend. We stayed in the Blue Room, the Red Room and the Crimson Dove Room.
