This motel looks very charming on its web page ( http://www.visitbedfordcounty.com/travelersrest/index.htm ). What particularly appealed to us was the animals (goats, chickens) and the country style decor. We felt it would be like spending the night at a farm home. The price $35 for 1 - 4 persons) was also very attractive. When we got there, we were informed that... More

The room smelt like mildew, they have smelly teddy bears on the beds, and the owners were rude when requested an extra pillow. We were laughed at. We used our rags in the morning and layed them with the other dirty towels to be replaced, when we got back they were hanging up to be reused.

At $35/night we weren't expecting the Four Seasons but based on reviews here and elsewhere we were hoping for a little better. Well, you get what you pay for. The room was tiny but clean-ish (although not quite clean enough to walk without shoes - at least not by our standards). The fixtures and furniture were old but charming in... More

When I found this place, I enjoyed the experience. Though rooms are small, bedding is clean and made daily, hot water readily available and a clean bathroom. There is also a country gift shop next door. The animals on the property have their quirks, but overall, a great place to relax.

For $35 -- cash, no credit or debit cards accepted -- you get a relatively small, but clean and comfortable motel room. The motel (50s vintage) is situated on Route 30 east of Everett, where the road climbs a fairly stiff grade... a point worth bearing in mind if you're a light sleeper, since the trucks grind up the hill... We did a weekend trip recently, and spent the night here to get a little past Breezewood, and throw some business to a place that doesn't see as much traffic as motels by the Turnpike interchange. The motel is from the early '50s, and has a small wing of rooms, as well as a few rooms in what was the... More
