Firstly welcome greetings were pleasant. This hotel is little remote if you are exiting I-76 you will have to be patient till your GPS leads to this remote place. The hotel is a pleasant one,cosy and staff was pleasant in welcoming our family even though it was midnight, check-in was smooth. The morning breakfast was very sumptous and well greeted/taken care by the support staff. I would definitely stay here if needed for the rate that I got this.
We stayed for 5 days and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. With the the remodeling that's been done, it feels like a new motel. It has a nice sized outside pool and seating area. The breakfast is one of the best for a hotel breakfast buffet. They have it set up that the person in charge of the breakfast area serves each person the hot food due to Covid. Every day the breakfast buffet was a little different. The only complaint I have it that during the week breakfast service ends at 9:00. I for one like to sleep in when on vacation... not be up before 9 to eat. They need to change their sign that says it is served till 10:00. This is for weekends only. The staff are very friendly and helpful as well. This is our new place to stay when in the area!
My husband and I have been testing the waters and going on short, quick trips to places in PA, just to get our feet wet to traveling during COVID, and to escape and see a different set of FOUR walls than our house. I keep hoping I will one day write, "travel POST Covid"...maybe next year? We took a quick trip to Greensburg to visit the newly opened casino. We have not stayed in a Hampton Inn in years, but this used to be our go-to hotel when we were younger. This Hampton Inn was newly remodeled, and every bit as wonderful as we remembered...maybe even more wonderful? It was centrally located to everything in Greensburg, several shopping centers, restaurants and the casino and mall. Though it has a shuttle service to the casino, be forewarned, its only on certain days. Though the drive to the casino was not bad. The hotel was very relaxing, plenty of parking and I felt as if the staff were taking the utmost care in keeping the hotel clean and disinfected. The décor was pretty, especially in the breakfast area, and I enjoyed having a mid-size refrigerator (with freezer) and microwave in the room. I have been to other hotels that removed these amenities due to COVID. The continental breakfast was tasty...perhaps a bit better than I remember. The breakfast staff served the hot dishes and all other items were individually wrappted. I would defintely stay here again on another trip to the Live Casino Greensburg.…
We stayed one night on March 20th. The room was clean and the service was good until I called about an item I forgot in the room. I was told that they cannot mail items back at this time due to issues with the USPS but I am welcome to come to the hotel to pick it up. I live over 3 hours one way. They suggested I have someone pick it up for me... if I had local accommodations I would not need to stay at the hotel. I was transferred to a manager who also informed me that they do not have USPS services. I had to threaten to press charges before they they agreed to mail it. Right on the Hilton website it states "happy to return forgotten items to the owner". Fine hotel, just make sure you remember everything because its VERY difficult to get it back.
The rooms have been updated beautifully since my last stay a few years ago. The rooms are now sleek and modern. And more importantly, they are exceptionally clean, quiet, and comfortable. Contactless check in on the app was convenient, and the digital key is convenient too.
