We went to a wedding in the Poconos and needed a place to stay over for one night. The Academy Street B & B was a very welcoming and cozy place to stay. It was clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the food was delicious. Our hostess Michelle, was very welcoming to us!

Stayed one night. Old Victorian house. Been a B&B for quite some time. Greeted at the door by Michelle. Very pleasant woman. She gave us a tour and showed us to our room. The house is period decorated. There is an evening snack of homemade applesauce cake. Delicious! Breakfast had choices. We had quiche. Delicious! Very accommodating. Would definitely stay...

Charming, peaceful B&B nestled in Hawley, Pa mountains. Our hostess, Michelle, was helpful, warm, pleasant and so accommodating. Our room was clean, comfortable bed, flat screen TV, with DVD/VHS Player. Breakfast was delicious and dining room beautifully decorated. Separate tables for guests. Michelle provides late night snacks, which was great for us. We came back to the B&B after dinner...

This little gem was the best. We arrived late about 10:30 and were greeted by Michele, the lovely owner and a pineapple upside-down cake. The ambiance is old world and charming. Our room was private and well kept. The whole atmosphere is one of pampering. Our breakfast feast was delicious. Its a wonderful play to stay and we will be...

This bed and breakfast was a little off the Interstate 84 ... well worth the slight detour. The B&B is located in a lovely resort town. The home is Victorian and well decorated. The owners are delightful people. Michelle, the hostess, prepared an incredible pie for an after dinner dessert. It was made of 3 fruits and even though I...

When we arrived at Lake Wallenpaupack on Labor Day Weekend, and surveyed our apparent options, we were disheartened. The Visitor Center referred us to Academy. When I called, the hostess offered us a tour of the house. Upon arrival, we immediately knew we would enjoy this lovingly restored Victorian Home. Michelle was welcoming and placed great emphasis on detail for...

Wonderful experience. Michelle is friendly and warms you from first meeting. Beautiful classic home; yards are gorgeous. I concede that I do not know much about the B&B experience, but frankly I'm a hotel snob and not impressed with any of the hotels nor resorts in Wayne County having stayed at/or seen several of them these past few years. Academy...
