The Days Inn by Wyndham Hershey earns praise for its prime location near Hershey attractions and dining options, with many guests appreciating the hotel's cleanliness and the thoughtful inclusion of full-size soaps. However, some travelers express disappointment with the value, citing high rates during events and inconsistent service.
While the hotel's amenities, such as the breakfast and pet-friendly policy, are popular, overcrowded pools and maintenance issues have been noted. Reviews reflect a spectrum of experiences with rooms, ranging from comfortable and clean to those marred by housekeeping challenges.

Detailed Reviews
The Days Inn in Hershey has a great location, very reasonably priced and is Pet Friendly. We would stay there again when we visit Hershey. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly, had great suggestions as to where to eat, and gave us a handout with the local restaurants. Well done Days Inn of Hershey.

We are 26 travelling friends (14 are in a wheelchair/walker) This hotel was able to accommodate us with great rooms and service. They have Wheel in showers and rooms were large enough for 2 wheelchairs in the same room. Breakfast was great. Pool with a lift was relaxing.

I stayed at the Days Inn on Chocolate Avenue for 2 weeks during a business trip and I wasn’t very impressed with it. It’s conveniently located to Hershey Park and many restaurants but that’s the only good thing I found about it. The hotel was run down. The carpet in both of my rooms was dirty and the bathroom was small. The shower had decent water pressure but the temperature would fluctuate quite a bit ranging from lukewarm to very hot. One of my coworkers also stayed here and had issues getting hot water one morning from the shower. They offered a limited breakfast consisting of a “to go bag” that contained a muffin, a granola bar, and a fruit cup with no utensils in the bag. They also had yogurt available and some fruit but it wasn’t impressive by any means. I would strongly consider other options if you stay in Hershey.

I am conflicted about this hotel.
I booked a Friday and Saturday night, and it cost approximately $500 for the 2 nights, I didn't think that was too bad, looking at pictures online and the close distance to the park.
We got there about a hour before check in, and our room was ready. Check in was simple and easy. There was a gentleman that saw my youngest son looking at the fish tank, and he got to feed them. That was great, he loved every second of that!
We got right into our room, it was clean enough, but then you went into the bathroom and it was old and run down. There were ants in the bathroom as well, not just a fluke, but some were found both days we were there. The information on the website also stated that the beds were pillow tops. This was not the case, it was a hard spring loaded mattress, with a top sheet and the thinnest blanket you could imagine. There were no extra pillows or blankets in the room either.
It is an extremely loud hotel. This makes sense though, it's a budget friendly hotel, so there will be families, I get that. Our room was 2 away from the elevators also, but there were children running up and down the hallway until midnight or later. I even received a prank phone call around 3 AM which woke up my entire family, this was annoying but, eh oh well.
We went downstairs Saturday morning and grabbed our brown bag breakfast. There was plenty of bags, but there wasn't any hot water for the oatmeal or hot chocolate. The bag included a muffin, granola bar, and a cup of fruit. You could also choose a yogurt, and oatmeal. There was orange juice, apple juice and coffee as well. It was good enough especially during Covid.
When we returned Saturday afternoon, our keys wouldn't let us into our room. I had to go downstairs to the front desk and they told me that they had expired. That was pretty annoying, but not the end of the world, but to be honest it was the straw that broke the camels back.
We decided to head home a night early. We didn't ask for a refund, we simply checked out.
I would honestly do yourself a favor and skip this hotel. Yes, it is appealing with the lower cost, but it isn't worth it. The pool was always packed with a lot of teenagers also. I'm not downing teenagers, but it didn't work for us with younger children.

My children really enjoyed the indoor swimming pool. Within a few hours of being in the room the toilet overflowed and we were given a second room. My six-year-old son found a lighter between the sheets and the blanket which were supposedly clean. When I called the front desk to complain and say that the sheets were stains and we found a lighter I was told they are running out of rooms and there’s not much they can do for us. Needless to say this is not a place I will be staying at. again

Average room, nothing special or exceptional. The breakfast was good and the desk staff was friendly and welcoming. Room cleanliness was not spotless, the bathroom was not cleaned the second night, the beds were made and trash emptied.

We traveled with a high school marching band and several families in about 40 rooms. Front desk staff during the day was very friendly and accommodating for our group. Rooms were decent size and clean. Breakfast area was nice in the lobby. Choices were limited, but exactly what was expected for the free breakfast. No complaints from hungry teens. Pool area is small, but good for a quick dip. The only issue was housekeeping in the morning. Our group was spread out on two floors. All the students (and several adults) were together. We had assigned shifts to adults to monitor the kids all night and into the morning to ensure their safety and limit disruptions to other guests. Two adults sat in chairs in the hall from 9 pm until we checked out at 11am.Housekeeping arrived at 9am and said we couldn’t sit in the two chairs. They needed to get through. We politely told them we are leaving by 11am and all the rooms were part of our group. They gave us a really hard time and were very annoyed that we insisted we continue to chaperone the kids and not let them clean rooms that still had guests in them. It left us with a negative image of the hotel, but everything else was great.

During our stay we could not use the elevator as one was out of order and the other had a family stuck in it for 10 minutes and we were told to use the stairs thereafter (for the next two days).
The stair case from ground floor to the fourth floor was filthy. I have never seen hotel accommodations so dirty in all my years of traveling.
Our room had sugar ants in one corner. By day three of our stay they were in the bathroom and on our towels. We did not have food in our room, but the front desk said ants were probably from our trash (which was empty aside from tissues).
We needed face clothes one night. The front desk said they were all out bc of COVID so they gave us hand towels to use. The next day we requested face clothes and after arguing with housekeeping over the phone, the desk attendant said we’d have to wait bc the staff did not want to bring them up.
Incredibly disappointing after spending so much money for the accommodations.

Queen room with little if any room to move between foot of bed and dresser. Safe located lower than knee height with towel/cloths rack just above safe at level guests can not anticipate when using safe. Set up for head injury. Otherwise nice location. Hot water heated up quickly, decorations of autumn in lobby nice touch of hospitality

Per their website, it is a pet friendly hotel. If booking, I'd call first to make sure it's OK as they may want to know what type of pet, etc., and you may also want to confirm their website is up to date.
We did not walk but we were parked right near where the shuttle picks up guests and they were still running well after the show. We waited at our car for 30 minutes after the show for the traffic to leave. Parking lot empties out fairly quickly. Plus parking is free if you are going to the show!
