Took the family to Hershey area for New Years Eve. Kids wanted to take their Christmas puppy so chose this hotel for that. Hotel is little outside town so prices were good. We slept in after new Year's eve so we missed breakfast hours. Kudos for the staff to re-open the breakfast area for us to grab a few items to feed the kids.
Just like the Hampton Inn’s we are used to staying at. Hotel is clean; staff very hospitable and room was sanitized. What more can you ask for. We only stay at Hampton Inn’s when we travel and only had one bad incident in many years. You know what you can expect when you book a Hampton Inn.
I had the worst stay of my life. I was called while at dinner because my puppy was barking and they were bothered by that. They made a transaction that disnt match my receipt and when i questioned the front desk, the lady was very dismissive and plain rude. She without warning and no care that i was from out of state cancelled my reservation for that day at 6:30 am i left the hotel with my kids in pj amd my puppy to try and call a hotel whom had a availability so that my family would have a place to stay being that we had just arrived the night prior and had our purchased Hershey tickets for that day and didnt want to loose them. I felt as a hispanic that i was treated differently because of my ethnicity. The manager was not available on yhe weekend so when i left her a message to call me back she returned my call after i left several messages with a preset mind set not open to what i had to say or how i felt. I DONT ADVISE ANYONE TO STAY HERE!!! You are at the mercy of the unprofessional staff at the front desk, and if you disagree with something that say or question them, she will cancel your reservation with no care as to you or your family and that you are out of town. There are many other places to stay that are more professional and are truly pet friendly and everyone is treated equally. I gave them one star, but they truly deserve a negative 5 ⭐️!…
Horrible experience with this hotel: Family with 2 kids, 2 suites. I never seen anything like that in my entire life as an executive traveling a lot and staying in multiple hotels around the world. When we arrived, we found that our rooms and communal areas were not cleaned/sanitized like they should be, especially according to the COVID regulations. We had to clean our rooms by ourselves. Next morning I complained to the property manager about the anti-sanitary conditions , presented pictures of dirty spots all around the suites and common areas. but she said the housekeeping is not cleaning at all during the stay, only before the room occupied. She said if you don’t like it - you should leave. We stayed since we didn’t want to search for another hotel with the baby and another kid. Next day the cook-top stopped working. The manager said the she doesn’t know when they going to replace it. She repeated again that we need to leave, threatening us to send police. I never seen anything like that in my entire life as an executive traveling a lot and staying in multiple hotels around the world. the whole family - 4 adults and 2 kids 2 and 10 years old were kicked out .…
The most redeeming quality about this hotel was the friendly staff. Hotel was not as clean as it should've been, which, in COVID-era traveling, was unsettling. There was hair in the bathtub which is a big sign that bathrooms simply are not cleaned. We were in town for a tournament so we did not spend much time in the facility, which was a relief.
