I think it is mold in the grout in the bathtub, but I got distracted when I found the long black hair. I'm gray and my husband is bald. There is a sign above the sink asking us not to take their towels and conserve water. When I took a shower the bathtub faucet kept running gallons of water down the drain. Well not down the drain because it ran to slow so I was standing in water. There was water in the coffee tray and a pot half full of water. I wouldn't have used it if my life depended on it. I couldn't have had coffee anyway because there was no coffee or cups. The internet worked great,

Felt this place finally needed a review. My family was desperate and randomly picked this motel. It was so filthy and creepy we slept with our clothes on. Turning on the air conditioner was an asthmatics worst nightmare. When leaving the front desk was insanely rude and crude. A seedy and sad little motel.

Absolutely horrible ! Room was dirty and musty. It was difficult to even breathe. I left within 3 hours after I arrived. " Sorry no refunds". I went to a local grocery store and spoke to a few local residents and the recommended several other motels within 5 miles. The locals told me that the family has owned the Cocoa Motel for several years now and that area was flooded by over 2 feet of water a few years ago during a 2 day rainstorm. The home next to the motel was condemned and later demolished. After hearing that, it explains all of the awful reviews. The Cocoa Motel must be a real "Black Eye" to the Hershey Business Association.

My family and I were in Hershey this past weekend and booked two rooms at the Cocoa Motel. Prices were cheap, but the stay was definitely not worth it. When we first arrived to drop our bags off, we walked in our rooms and found they were very dark and musty. The room right next door to my parent's room had a towel under the door and it looked like a mold stain on the outside. There was a strong odor in both rooms that made it unbearable to sit inside for too long. There was a hole in a screen in the one room, so we were not able to even keep the windows open to air it out. Bugs were flying around everywhere in the rooms. The bathrooms seemed clean enough, but to be honest we didn't really use the facilities. The had bathroom towels as their curtains. We dropped our things and left to do what we had planned for the day. While spending our day in Hershey, every single one of us had pure dread knowing we had to spend the night in this dump. Luckily we have family members that live up there that graciously lent the 12 of us spots on their floor. So at 11 o clock at night we returned to grab our belongings and peace the hell out of there. When returning our keys, my mother made sure to let the front desk how disgusting their place was and how they should be ashamed of the business they are running. The next morning my mother called demanding a full refund or she would be calling the board of health. Thankfully, the woman at the front desk said she would refund my mom. Although the prices looked good, this place is not worth it!!!!! Absolutely disgusting!!!!

This place was by far the worst motel/hotel I have ever stayed in. It was old and dirty. The room was a double with awful furniture and an antique TV with one station. The remote was so dirty that it was sticky!!! The door did not have a secure lock so we moved a suit case in front to feel safer. The window A/C was old and very noisy. There were bugs in the room and bathroom. Had it not been so hot, we would have been more comfortable sleeping in the car. The office had no A/C and the credit card machine was broken so we had to pay cash with no receipt!!! All other facilities were booked or I would have gladly paid for another facility. I booked this room thru a trusted online site and have notified them that they should disassociated themselves with this facility.

Our stay at the Cocoa Motel was so bad that we couldn’t even stay. The motel wouldn’t refund our money, even though we did not move our stuff in or disturb anything. The room smelled dirty, was dark, and the mini-refrigerator was on the floor. The door to the outside would not deadbolt, requiring repair before we could even close it. The television table was in poor repair with two drawers broken. There were spiders in the bathroom and the bathroom window wouldn’t open/close properly. We are in the process of getting the credit card charges reversed. Stay away from this disaster!!!

Sleep in your car...it's cleaner. We arrived at 2am, wanting a good night's rest after a very long drive. What we walked into was a room with a leaking bathroom faucet, a floor that looked as though it hadn't seen a vacuum cleaner in weeks, dust everywhere, the smell of mold & wet carpeting, a TV that didn't work, a lumpy bed with dirty sheets , ohhh....and if you want privacy, you better bring a clothes pin or paper clip...the curtains don't close. The main reason we chose this place, is because we traveled with our Maltese and this place accepts pets for an extra $15 per night. We complained, and they offered us their special "photo room", but we were smart and just decided to move somewhere else, to wash off the grime. The Econo Lodge on Lucy Avenue also accepts pets, but is much nicer and cheaper!! In other words, only recommend this Cocoa Motel to your worst enemies!

There Is Nothing Good To Say About This Motel. Never Updated Since The 1950's. The Room Smelled Awful , Stiff Sticky Carpet, Shower Not Working Properly,Half Of The Lights Were Not Working And TV Remote Not Working. We Kept All Our Cloths In Suitcase On Table Just So They Would't Touch The Carpet. Management Would't Discount Room Even After Notifying Of Problems. STAY AWAY From This Place
