The hotel still serves breakfast, in the time of the coronavirus, although I believe the available foods were more limited than they should be. Our room was clean, and the staff served us well. The hotel is conveniently located next door to a gas station and a breakfast restaurant, across the road from a bakery, and a short drive away from Hersheypark.
Place has bugs, no refund, no resolution. Accusatory GM. Took pictures to show GM. He said we would just go look. Then turned around to said that I refused to show him or the other staff. DirtBall place. Skip it
I have lived in and stayed in Hotels for nearly 2 years. So I know what to expect from a Hotel. I have enough rewards points to stay many nights for free. I used my points here and wish I didn’t waste those points. The night was cold the room was uncomfortably HOT, I couldn’t sleep. They did “Try to fix it” but they oddly had the part in hand when they came to check it out. Sounds to me like that is a common problem. After being treated rudely with the second call I gave up and asked for a Fan in hopes that I could get some sleep. They were nice enough to bring one but it looked like they used it as a lint trap from there dryer. I brought it to them and asked for it to be cleaned. They “cleaned” it I went back to the room when I turned it on it looked like it snowed in the room. After a rough night trying to sleep in an oven I see that the mattress we slept on had some of the nastiest stains I have ever seen. That made me sick, so I complained to the front desk. The Manager accused me of being rude and Cussing. 1) I NEVER CUSS, to they don’t know the difference between upset and Rude. If I was rude they certainly would have seen a completely different side of me. So instead of trying to make things right they accused me of things I have never done. The manager and staff LIE! They will probably come back here saying how rude I was actually, I would like to see the Video! I have one and I have pictures. And pictures don’t lie!…
First of all, I'm a professional at rating hotels, so take my advice! Hello, I have visited this hotel, and I mean, first expectations were TERRIBLE!!! I mean it was just not as expected! First of all, when we looked at the building, it looked a lot like a motel! When we came inside to check-in, nobody, and I mean NOBODY was at the desk for 1 hour. We were told to wait 1 hour before they could come back because they were "cleaning". First of all, I'm a professional at rating hotels, so take my advice! When we finally checked in, we thought the place seemed sketchy, because they said that it was a non-smoking building, and about 25% of the people there smoked! The restaurant employees smoked, the hotel employees smoked, and even random people on the road smoked! Ok, next on, the staff! The staff overall is friendly! Very great service! We asked if we could cancel, but they said we would have to pay $180 even though we haven't even checked in and we paid $200 for the stay! I mean, that's a complete ripoff! Next, breakfast situation! Breakfast is the worst here! The people only served cold cereal and very stale bagels! The breakfast area was small! Ok now next is sanitization! Sanitization is a must during the difficult times of Covid-19! They have a 0.0001% sanitization rate, which in terms means disgusting. The rooms smelled like smoke, the mats in front of the doors is really bad, the restaurant below the building doesn't even have sanitizer, they just wet a paper towel and clean the tables. We asked for hand sanitizer, and they said they didn't have any! I mean, if you have housekeeping, aren't they supposed to have disinfectants??? Next, rooms! First of all, a bad smell inside the rooms! Sheets look okay, AC was good, bathroom, balcony, and carpet, however, were very disgusting. The bathroom had feces stains on the walls! The bathtub has a weird stain on it, and it was dented. The sink was fine, but the mirror on the lights wouldn't even turn on. The TV really surprised me! At first, I thought a camera was on top, but it was actually a signal for the remote! Very outdated, only 10 channels are available! The carpet hasn't been vacuumed in weeks, very dirty and smelly! The balcony is very unsafe! The iron bars could be shaken of with 75% of a push. It could use a lot of updates in the whole building itself! The pool was small and cramped! It was very cold, and the ladder for the pool was taken away, so if you weren't tall, you would be drowning!!! Next is the location! Very good location! Hershey Park and Restaurants are available within a 5-mile radius! Its what you would expect for a $80 room. It was clean and safe; a couple extras (pool). But don't expect too much; its economical for a stay 1 mile from Hershey Park. One night & no problems, polite staff, hot water, pool at the end of the day, food in walking distance. B'fast not good, but I didn't expect much. Its a good value. Totally decent stay. Thanks H.J.!
