Very old but cool. Be prepared to walk up stairs. No elevators which was no problem for us because we knew in advance. The lodging itself was not great but the experience of staying in a 1800's hotel with great staff was worth it to us. We did a little paranormal investigating while we stayed. 3 nights and must say...

Thanks very much for your nice review. We are pleased that you appreciated the essence of the Hotel Wayne....a truly historic hotel built in 1827...which we work hard to maintain the character of. We try hard to provide the best possible accommodations, food and beverages to our guests....and to our very friendly ghosts too. Thanks for being a customer of...

Nice place. Quaint. Historic. Good Restaurant. Rooms are small and clean. The bathroom are tiny. This is an old hotel very convenient to downtown Honesdale. No elevator. Rooms are on the second and third floors. An interesting experience.

Thank you for your nice review of the Hotel Wayne. We are glad that you had an interesting experience and enjoyed it. Please keep in mind that the Hotel was built in 1827 when there was no indoor plumbing and actually had horse stables in the rear, Bathrooms were added in the early 1900s and as a result they had...

A nice place to spend an evening with old-time charm. They even have an antique-style front desk bell. It is reasonably priced, convenient to the downtown area, and has a good restaurant. There are no elevators, so one must walk up to your room as all rooms are on the second or third floor. The staircase, well, you have to see...

Thanks very much for your nice review of the historic Hotel Wayne. We are very pleased that you had a nice experience. Your comments about our main staircase are very welcome as we strive to keep it in the same condition as it when it was built in 1827. On the first landing of the staircase, we are very proud...

Hotel Wayne is a historic place in Honesdale. Supposedly it has been refurbished, but it still needs a lot of work. Our suite had two double beds that had seen better days, a bathroom so tiny that you could not shut the door if you were on the toilet, and a very loud air conditioner. It had not been vacuumed...

We are very sorry about your experience at the Hotel Wayne. Please keep in mind that the Hotel was built in 1827 before there was indoor plumbing. When the bathrooms were installed in the early 1900s, they had to be fit in where they could. The Hotel is totally non smoking and we enforce that very rigidly. As it relates...

My wife and I live locally but come to stay in the Hotel Wayne every few months to "get away". We recently stayed and the visit was even better than the last ones we did. It was warm weather and we sat on the outdoor porch overlooking Main St in Honesdale and it was just so nice. Sort of like...

We have now stayed here two different summers while visiting our daughter at camp. The hotel is charming with a fantastic restaurant and bar (great drinks, great food!). And the people who work here are so nice (we love Mary!)! They really make you feel welcome. The location is perfect too as it's just off Main Street. We love it...

All the rooms at Hotel Wane are on the second and third floors - and there is no elevator. Travelers who cannot walk up double sets of stairs should be aware of this. Also, there were no tissues in the room. Other than that the room was clean and comfortable.

Thanks for writing the review of the hotel. You are correct that the Hotel does not have an elevator. It is impossible to install one as the Hotel was built in 1827 and is a registered historic property. We do strive to give our guests the best possible service and in all cases offer to carry their bags to their...

The hotel is a fine old building on Main Street. We met our friend for drinks on the porch after a long drive up from our previous stop in Maryland. Micky was quick with our drinks, and the service we received was exemplary. The hotel is dog friendly, and made us all (canine and human) feel very welcome. We attended...

Delicious food in the restaurant, good bar but staying overnight is NOT recommended. I know the hotel is historic but there was only ONE electric outlet in a suite, a VERY dim light over the bathroom mirror, ceiling had deterioration and mold in one corner, mattress was old and very "bouncy" and no closet...just a coat rack.
