COVID appears to have been a convenient reason for this hotel to provide nothing. If you want your room cleaned you need to tell the front desk EVERY DAY that you went it cleaned. The complementary breakfast is thoroughly awful if you are an adult. Rubber bagels and no toaster, oatmeal cups, but no hot water or microwave to actually make it and inedible fruit. Feel free to eat their Lucky Charms and Cap'n Crunch because it is all you are getting. Both my digital key and my physical key failed EVERY DAY, requiring trips back to the front desk for new keys. Although we did request daily housekeeping, they somehow did not see the picture with the broken glass and loose shards hanging over the toilet they were supposedly cleaning. We had to tell them about it and they finally removed it, but did not replace it so there were multiple picture hangers poking out of the wall. COVID has produced challenges for the hospitality industry, but there are many better places to spend your time and money.…
I am a big fan of Hampton inns. This place did not meet my expectations. We were promised adjoining rooms before arrival. And upon arrival they told us they we were don’t have any. The hotel looked tired and is in need of a facelift. The outside of our door had some weird drips of an unknown origin. The inside of the room was so hot and we could not get the temp to adjust. We had to ask the desk for more toilet paper, the sofa was stained, the base of the toilet was dirty and the shower head was horrible. Not typically a complainer, but I was really taken aback by my experience. It almost could have been an ok experience if the employees were friendly and accommodating when we could find them.
I have been to this hotel numerous times, and every time it is a pleasant stay. This is my preferred hotel when coming to Hershey Park it is literally 5 minutes away. The rooms are super clean and they make you feel at ease with Covid going around, you can see they are doing all possible to make your stay safe from Covid. The staff at the front desk are always smiling and ready to assist you with anything you need to make your stay as pleasant as possible. They answer all your questions efficiently. They are super friendly from housekeeping, to the lady who puts out the breakfast to the front desk— EVERYONE in a whole makes this hotel a true gem. And best of all, they are pet friendly..... they truly welcome your pet as they do you because they understand that they are a part of your family. They have space with grass around the building where your puppy can play and find relief for those that get anxiety from traveling and or just to let play a little outside. They also have poop bags onsite if you forget yours as well. Thank you to a management, on this location for having such a well put together staff!!! This hotel is truly the definition of a Hampton/ Hilton hotel. They really deserve 10⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️…
Needing a room near the Medical Center, this was a blessing. With white bedding, it was easy to see that the room had been cleaned well. My mother, sister, and I were as comfortable as could be, away from home for a medical procedure. The staff was caring and helpful. The to-go bags with breakfast/snack food was very much appreciated. I am sorry I didn't write this review way back at the time - October of 2016 (The drop down box only goes back a year...). But as the place and staff made such an impression on me, I have kept my confirmation forms all this time to be able to post this positive review.
We needed an overnight stay whilst traveling up through PA during the COVID-era. Overall, the hotel is just average; there's nothing positive or negative to say. The check-in staff was very polite and helpful. They allow dogs for small non-refundable fee, and we had no issues with checking-in with our 35 lb dog. Its a standard Hampton room; not too big, not too small. The A/C kicks on and off all night (and is a bit loud), if that's any concern. The location is a huge benefit. The only thing within walking distance is an Antique Auto Museum; everything else is >1 mile away...but there's a lot. Note: Given the COVID situation, there is no dining area. Rather, in the AM you receive a small bag with a bottle of water, an apple, and a granola bar.
