We were supposed to stay there for one night but we had such a good experience the first day that we decided to extend our stay and ended up staying four night. San juan del Sur is known for the party atmosphere, and most people staying in the city is in the mood to party. After getting around all night...

My boyfriend and I found this hostel through one friend that had been staying there for few of days. From the moment we walked in we were welcomed by the two girls running it, with perfectly neat rooms and common areas. The kitchen is really complete and we enjoyed cooking with the girls pretty much at every meal. We were...

My friend and I spent 4 nights at Hostal Nina and were very happy with our stay here. The two girls that operate the hostal are incredibly friendly and helpful and have really made our experience in San Juan enjoyable. It's very close to the beach, and you're right next door to the market or anything else you need. Clean...

This is a great hostel, ideally located in the centre of town. The 2 lady's that run it were super friendly and advised us on buses and places to eat. The hostel itself is pretty basic and not very party like but there is enough of that around town. Top rooms with the hammocks were great. Kitchen access and you...

Very cute place to stay in San Juan. It's a small hotel, only a few rooms but nice if you are looking for a quite, clean place. The single fan in the rooms isn't a problem as it's very very windy in the town. The family was very kind and helpful. We stayed in the two upstairs rooms, had our...

Nina's place felt like we were staying at our own home, which was a great find in San Juan! The rooms were very clean, and the prices can't be beat. The rooftop and front stoop were excellent places to hang out and escape the city after a long day of surfing. Nina is incredibly friendly and kind, and we were...

The best thing about this place is the price. The rooms are fine but only with a fan that cant really handle the heat. It really upset me that the book exchange is 1 for 1 plus you have to pay extra. The atmosphere is wierd and feels like you got into someones house and not like a hostel.

We found this place after stopping by a few other places that looked busy and wanted $25 per night for a private room for my husband and myself, and Nina took us in and showed us a little room with a private shower and toilet, and TV in the room, for $20/night. We'd stayed in another place a few doors...

Hotel was ok - bed was comfy and it was fun having a TV for a bit (watched lots of Fox Life rubbish reality shows). Nina and her family were welcoming and helpful, but it wasn't the most comfortable of places. And I know this is such a first world problem, but the wifi was appalling. To be honest we...
