My boy friend and I stayed here for 3 nights in late January and we had a blast. Just walked up to the house one afternoon and we're greeted by Soyala. She welcomed us and promptly provided us with a room. Marc and his partner we're fantastic as well. Very kind and fun! The amenities are much like the rest...

Casa Pelon is a beautiful hostel right near the beachfront at Paya Marsella. A tranquil alternative to San Juan del Sur, this was a great place to stay to enjoy the beach. There are only two rooms, but for that reason it is super cozy. Mark built the place himself and it has real charm and personality to it. Right...

Mark was an accommodating host during our 3 day stay in early May. He would have breakfast ready for us depending on our morning routine. He made the most incredible smoothies. His smoked bacon was really good too. It was extremely hot during our stay and without the ocean breeze, the provided fan was not enough to make the very...

I stayed 5 days at marks beautiful place. He involved me to some lovely events in the neighborhood where I always felt welcome. I was served a great breakfast every day, the room was clean and the kitchen was well equipped - I still used the very close restaurant around. Thanks for all and good luck!

We originally planned to stay for 2 nights to get away from the hustle and bustle of San Juan del Sur, but ended up staying for 3 nights because we were so relaxed we found it hard to leave! This is mostly due to the open plan casa where you can relax for hours and enjoy the killer beach view....

We only stayed at Casa Pelon for 2 nights but wished we could have stayed longer. The casa is really open and comfortable with a beautiful view of the beach. It was a great place to spend a couple of days after San Juan del Sur. The real appeal of Casa Pelon is however, the owner Marc. Marc told us...

There are few hostels/hotels in the world where I have felt as comfortable and at home as I did at Casa Pelon. Initially intending to stay just one night in Playa Marsella, we ended up staying at Casa Pelon for the better part of our week in Nica. The beach is beautiful, nearly empty, and literally just around the bend....

Setting out to stay 1 day, we ended up spending 4 days at playa Marsella. The beach is beautiful, quite secluded and the weather phenomenal. But that's not the reason we stayed that long. Casa pelon is! Mark is the first one in Nica, or all of central america to us, who didn't just rented us a room, he welcomed...

We loved our stay at Casa Pelon. Well located 1min from Playa Marsella with great sunset views of the beach. The place is well kept, green and has a really relaxed vibe. The staff was super friendly and the home-made breakfasts super tasty. We stayed in different hotels around Marsella but Casa Pelon was our favourite and the best value...

We enjoyed or stay very much. My husband and I and our 2 boys spent 5 nights here. We had intentions of doing all sorts of things---horseback riding, surf lessons, exploring other beaches. Instead, we spent a little time exploring SJDS, more time hanging out, enjoying the hammocks and the most time, at the beach with the boogie boards. Our...

“The are two adjoining rooms but they do lock. The bathroom is adjoined to one of the bedrooms, but it locks (just remember to lock and unlock it). The one closest to the bathroom had a closet and was much bigger than the room next to it. The smaller room and a lot of windows (with screens) and if you leave them open at night, it's like sleeping in a tent.”
