The reviews were great but our stay at buena onda exceeded our expectations. My wife and I booked 3 nights but ended up extending for 4 more nights. We had a private without sea view for $20 US and though the bathroom was a few steps from our door it was only for our use. The other rooms have their...

I stayed at Buena Onda for 4 nights during the crazy week of Semana Santa. This was quite possibly the best hostal I've stayed at during my trip. Baba, the owner, goes above and beyond to make sure your happy. There is always a fresh pot of organic coffee on the pot in the morning (included) and you can use...

We stayed here for three nights during our San Juan Del Sur visit. This hostel was probably the best hostel we came across on our voyages in Central America. Very clean, well run, great host - Baba (very accommodating, friendly and helpful) and a stunning view from the hill. The room had a nice comfortable king bed. Not too far...

Hello travellers , we stayed at the Hostel 4 nights and it was the perfect place to get out of San juan del Sur busy nightlife without having to walk out of town! Its well located about 10 mins walks form downtown. The architecture is beautiful with vibrante orange and yellow colors and super high ceilings ! it is a...

What can we say about our Buena Onda: amazing. Possibly the best owner. Keeps his Hostel very clean and always happy to give recommendations. San Juan can be quite chaotic and Buena Onda was the perfect place to chill and relax with a nice Victoria.

Buena Onda is a little haven in San Juan Del Sur. It's a bit of a trek up the hill, which is pretty darn hot in the midday heat, but so worth it. We were lucky enough to snag the last room on a busy weekend in April and we were floored by the cleanliness and detail compared to the...

Lovely hostel, very short walk into the town, it was my favourite hostel during my stay in Nicaragua. Bedrooms and bathrooms super nice and good breezy shared space up top for relaxing and view of SJDS.

We stayed here twice during our 7 week visit to Nicaragua in January through March 2015. The owner, Baba, is an amazing host who has an eye for detail and understands providing great hospitality. He was really helpful with advice and arranging transportation. The place is a 5 minute walk from the church square and the last bit is a...

This place is so well designed, that every angle of this place looks picture perfect. When we arrived, Baba met us at the door and welcomed us into his palace, the bedroom was huge, will all the facilities you will need, making it feel great value for money. We stayed for 2 nights but wished we could of stayed longer....

Beautiful location overlooking San Juan Del Sur!! Relaxed atmosphere and incredibly welcoming owner, Baba! aside from the local dogs and roosters (who can start their day much earlier than mine - bring ear plugs) this hostel is amazing, and well worth a visit. Rooms are basic but spotless, with a great tiki hut feel in the king size deluxe suite....
