This is a very nice place to enjoy peace and serenity. It is a bit slow and the food is very good but strictly vegan which I did not realize at the time I made my reservation. The staff was friendly and the people that were staying there were also very friendly. There are many beautiful beaches nearby but most within driving distances. The cabins were very clean but could use new mosquito nets. Mine had large holes allowing bugs to get in and have a hard time getting back out. The pool area is beautiful and the massages are some if the best I have ever received.

I was in the San Juan del Sur area for a day of fishing and needed a place to stay for just one night. This place is usually booked by yoga retreats, but given the pandemic, had plenty of availability. The owners were super-responsive over messaging, and I was so pleased with my decision to stay here. First, I don't like to stay right in SJdS proper, but prefer outside of town. This place is about a 10-minute drive from town, but feels like you're in the jungle. The casitas are built into the hillside and are surrounded by trees and lush vegetation. Nice patio to relax on, and plenty of room inside. Twin beds that combine for a king bed - slept great, the bed was comfortable. Mosquito net. Ceiling and floor fans. Windows provide cross-ventilation, and I didn't miss that there was not a/c. With just the ceiling fan on low speed, I needed to cover up with a sheet - so the room wasn't stuffy at all. Nice bathroom, large shower with great water pressure. Good size closet for clothes and other stuff. Bar/dining area was nice with a great view over the on-site pool and toward Nacascolo Bay. WiFi worked well in common areas as well as in casita. Staff were very friendly and helpful - also easy to message with prior to arrival. The included breakfast was amazing - pancakes, fried eggs, gallo pinto (rice & beans), fresh fruit, plantains, coffee, juice. All in all, an incredible value for a great quality stay. Will look to book again when I'm in the SJdS area.

I was looking for a place to unwind and relax for a few days. This place fit the bill to a T. Awesome pool, great breakfast, quite rooms that were clean and spacious. Hot water for the showers as well. The owners (Remy & Kelly) were very accommodating and helpful. They even have two extremely friendly dogs and two cats lounging around! Spanish and English were spoken. Although I think Remy and Kelly were Dutch so I suspect they speak a few other languages as well. This place is geared more towards the yoga and vegetarian type lifestyles, and it’s a bit of distance from town, but I liked that! Everyone seems to wind down early here so it was dark and quite most of the night. I ate one dinner there, which was delicious. The managers, Scott and Katie, were very helpful and always had smiles on their faces. It’s easy to enjoy a place when those working there seem to love what they do! They helped to organize taxis for me when needed and they even provide a free ride into town once a day for any guests who want to go. If you are looking for a quite place with great views and is clean and well run, this is the place. If you’re into yoga and like eating mainly vegetables and whatnot, I suspect you’ll really like this place. If nothing else, go because they dogs are awesome! Thanks to Remy, Kelly, Scott, Katie, Erlon(?) and everyone there for a great few days!

Yoga Retreat, week of February 8th, 2020. Nicaragua. Expressing my heart-filled appreciation for such an amazing week! Everything was fantastic: instructors, hosts, yoga, food, accommodation, group, beaches and sun, local area, meditation...wow, just positive and perfect. Each position has its own rhythm, balance, energy, strength and attention. Grateful for the week and the time to silence my mind, strengthen my body and practice reflection in my soul and spirit....beyond the mat. Progress. Not perfection. And, I am booked for next year!

We booked a 6 day yoga retreat here and it exceeded all our expectations. The location was spectacular and the cabanas were rustic and very comfortable. We had 2 excellent yoga classes daily; an active class every morning and a yin class or meditation every evening. This was my husbands first yoga experience and he is now a convert. The studio had an amazing panoramic view. A delicious vegetarian breakfast and dinner was served every day. Our hosts, Kelly and Remy were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and took us on several outings to the local beaches and town. Our package also included a free surfing lesson and amazing massage. All in all it was a great way to spend a vacation.
