We only popped in for a hot chocolate when walking around castle combe, this is a nice old pub, it has a limited menu, but alot of tables had been reserved for lunch time, the staff were friendly and if we go back we will book in, nice little pub/B&B and not badly priced.

We stayed with friends for 3 nights and had a fabulous time. Our room was on the small side (booked through Secret Escapes) and next time we would upgrade to a larger room. The room did however have all we needed, tea, coffee tray, bottled water, White Company toiletries. Pillows were rather flat but I could have asked for more....

Stayed just before Christmas. Has a room with four poster bed. Lovely quirky room with beams etc. Great bed, linens and bathroom stuff. Room far too hot despite turning heating off and opening windows. It must be unbearable in summer. Dining room served a lovely high quality dinner. No parking, which is a real problem in this village.

Went here last Sunday for a pre-Christmas lunch with various family members - 14 of us altogether. Beautiful setting especially as the sun was shining. We were seated at 1 large table in a private dining room with it's own lounge. Service was very efficient and staff friendly. Excellent food all well presented. Definitely worth a visit.

We spent a night here, and were really impressed by all the staff we met, who are friendly and professional. We thought the bar food was expensive, but there was plenty of it - I ordered the halloumi burger, and couldn't finish my massive plateful. Good to be able to eat in the bar next to an open fire on...

Came here today, the food used to be a lot better so this was rather disappointing. We ordered the roast which came out super fast. Vegetables where dry and the potatoes where a little uncooked. Very disappointed as we came from Cheltenham for lunch. Staff where polite However major shame about the food. Will be trying the pub opposite in...

What a lovely experience. The bar area is very welcoming - cosy with fire and nice ambience. Waiter was very polite and efficient. Had lunch here and it was delicious. Roast beef baguette yum and husband had broccoli and Stilton soup that was beautifully hot. Very enjoyable and relaxing set in an amazing little village.

Before I say anything else, this is a favourite bolt hole for us and we love it. We have stayed here several times. We stayed here last on a cold but bright November day. The Receptionist gave us a very warm, smiley welcome. I am always of the opinion that the first person you meet at a business should be...

Just spent two nights with my wife in the Castle Hotel Castle Combe Wilts. The room was just what you would expect in an old world village, it was beautiful. Both breakfast and dinner were very good and the staff were most helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Overall an excellent experience.

Stayed for one night on a celebration package. Room was perfect, spacious and very comfy bed. The staff were all so friendly and helpful and the food both dinner and breakfast were delicious. Fresh, filling, full of flavour, beautifully presented and great choice. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Will definitely be returning. Thank you
