This was the first time my family and I have stayed at The Rectory and, based on our experience, we will definitely be coming back! We were there for one night at the beginning of June to celebrate a big Jackson family reunion organised largely by my cousin, so I really didn't know what to expect. Apart from the fact...

The name rather gives away this hotel's previous occupation and the owner's have managed to retain its previous style while also catering for modern guests. Think of this as your private country house and you won't go far wrong. The house is surrounded by huge lawns (complete with quirky sculptures) and even has a swimming pool for those brave enough....

We have just returned from a night at The Rectory and I have to say we enjoyed every minute. The building and grounds are beautiful, with some quirky touches which added to the charm. The staff were fantastic we were made to feel very welcome from the start with nothing too much trouble. We stayed in the Belas Knapp room...

We've just enjoyed a lovely night away at the Rectory. The building itself is very beautiful and although 'charming' seems to be an overused word when describing this place, it does just about sum it up. The staff were brilliant throughout. Very attentive and professional. Top marks! Like a previous reviewer we stayed in Belas Knap too. Although it was...

Thank you for writing such a comprehensive review. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed The Rectory and had a great stay. I am sure you can appreciate that with a building of this age and size the upkeep is an ongoing project and something that we work hard at all year round. I must say that the gardens...

Stayed one night with Living Social voucher. Place is full of character and we had a roomy, low-ceilinged attic room, the Belas Knap. It had a huge bed, a warm, well-stocked bathroom and a view over the grounds and fields beyond. The staff were uniformly young, friendly and helpful without being in the least bit stuffy. The included dinner was...

Thank you for an excellent review. I am so glad that we were able to deal with the issues that arose quickly and efficiently and we very much appreciated your patience. The Living Social offer was very popular and indeed great value but don't miss the 'Special Offers' tab on our website as this has some amazing offers not to...

We just got back from our second trip to The Rectory. On our last stay, the hotel was really only a place to sleep whilst we discovered the Cotswolds. It was gorgeous and enjoyed our stay. This time we made it a point to hang out at the hotel, relax and get to know it. I'm so glad we did....

The Rectory is in a wonderful location near Malmesbury on the A429 between Cirencester and M4. The building is very south Cotsold and attractive. The weather was extremely cold when we visited and the whole hotel was warm with a good ambience. The welcome was friendly and efficient. The public room very comfortable and well served with reading matter. The...
