A good value hotel with lots of space for parking (free) and within easy walking distance of pubs/restaurants in the town. Mind you, this is Melksham so the quality does vary. Ask about internet reception as it may not be good in all the rooms. To be fair this may have been sorted out now, but worth asking nevertheless.

Staff were really lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. Lower floor room immediately organised because of my wife's recently broken ankle. All in all, a very pleasant stay. I would not hesitate to recommend both the pub and the hotel.

This is an ideal location for Bath, Lacock, Bristol & South Wales. For walkers this is a quiet location from which to explore the area on foot with easy access to trains & buses. Loved the food and beer on offer here.

Food quality was outstanding, we stayed on the Friday evening and the young lady on the bar during the day was very helpful, in the centre so very accessible. Room was small but had everything needed and the bathroom was very clean.

I stayed for 2 nights. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. The room was clean and cosy. Next time I'm in the area I won't hesitate to stay there again. Their is a lot of choice for breakfast and the food was good. I ate in the restaurant on one occasion and again, great food.

We stayed here for 5 nights and were greeted by a party on the Friday of our arrival. The manager was leaving and it was their party. The 'team' still made time to make us very welcome. The new manager couple went out of their way to do the same. The breakfasts were superb and very generous. The evening meals...

Very friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are spacious, clean and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was also good with a wide variety covering most tastes and diets. I would certainly stay there again and recommend it to others
