It was our second time staying at this hotel. The location is suitable for our needs as it's about 20 mins from Worcester. The hotel has basic facilities that we're happy with at this price.
This time round we felt very well cared for by a very attentive receptionist who helped resolve the issue of noise coming from outside. We even got a refund on the room although the problem was resolved promptly.
Overall a great place to stay with very welcoming and friendly staff and we will no doubt stay there again.

Arrived and checked in by Nat, Nat was very courteous and guided me to the local Asda and restaurant over the road. I entered my room to find the view was just trees! I texted my gf to say great view! May see a squirrel playing with his nuts! Went back to reception and asked Nat if I could change rooms due to the lack of view. Nat could not of been more accommodating, it’s a Sunday so hotels are very quiet I was upgraded to a room at the front with a bath. Room is clean and v comfortable for a bargain price of £36. I travel a lot and find that the staff have been amazing in travelodges. What I do take issue with is that if pensioners come in who do not have access to the internet or do not how to use it. They will be wacked by travelodge another £20 on top of the price of the room! AlwAys always always book online you will be rinsed on the door as a walk in! Great hotel here and facilities! Please travelodge think of another way of making money do not rinse vulnerable ppl , pensioners, beaten women, or men on walk ins who have no choice! There is far easier ways to make money. ***** 5 stars for Nat excellent receptionist! Give her a pay rise!! She deserves it! Times are hard and she is an excellent member of staff

You know what to expect at Travelodge, at a reasonable price if you can book far enough in advance.
This hotel is, I think, the best in the chain that I've stayed at.
Check-in was a dream - there was someone there (not always the case at other hotels), they were friendly and helpful. (This is usually the case, but this seemed even more so).
The staff obviously care about the appearance of the hotel; the lobby was clean and looked after, and they were all outside working on the lawn and flowerbeds, to make it even more attractive.
I chatted to the lady cleaning the rooms in the morning, in passing; she was friendly too, and genuinely seemed happy with what she was doing and cared about it.
My only regret is that my travels don't take me to this area often, so I won't be able to see the results of the landscaping outside any time soon.

I stayed here for 2 nights in December and the overall look of the place and free parking are plus points and the staff were friendly on arrival and check in was quick as i booked online in advance, the room was fairly clean but a little dated compared to the new travelodge Highbridge i had stayed in a few weeks earlier. the bathroom was reasonably clean and the shower is above a bath which was unfortunately quite dirty with soap and grime streaks all over it and you could see it hadn't been cleaned in a while, unlike the Highbridge one there are no usb phone charging sockets so take your charger if you are staying here and the lack of power sockets in general meant that we could only charge one phone at a time.
The biggest and most discouraging thing about this hotel which will mean we never return to it is there were people coming and going with dogs and the animals were staying in the rooms with their owners, so Travelodge you really need to stop this as the rooms are just en suite over night bedrooms and allowing dogs is just ridiculous and dirty.

We arrived here late Friday evening after a three hour journey. Quite challenging to find in the dark and it doesn't get much better when you arrive.

It's located next to a caravan park which when we arrived at 11pm, there were travellers kicking balls against the fence and shouting profanity. The tiny car park is poorly lit and if it's full, good luck trying to squeeze into a spot. We had a baby with us and there was a car blocking the (tiny) dropped curb to the entrance meaning we had to walk around to enter the hotel at another point.

When we got through the smokers sat to the side of the front door, we checked in at reception for the family room we had booked. We had a 3-month baby with us at the time in a pram and we were placed on the top floor. We were told there were no alternative rooms on the ground. We were then told there were no lifts and offered no help with anything. This resulted in 2-3 runs trying to carry the pram and suitcases up the staircase, cheers for that.

We got to our room which was a sauna and there's no air con, only a fan that is so loud it's impossible to sleep with it on. I'd be surprised if the fan was safe, as the blade appeared to be catching, causing the noise. Trying to keep the temperature below 25c felt impossible. Even with the windows open the fan was just circulating the hot air.

On top of this, the noise from the caravan park and the people stood outside the hotel talking could be heard through the closed windows. We checked with the receptionist for another room or simply a quieter fan but the hotel was apparently fully booked and there were no additional fans. After mentioning this, we noticed a family of four (without a baby) check in to a family room downstairs. The receptionist offered no help in asking the guests outside to be quieter, advising they 'normally quieten down soon' (it was 23:30 at this point).

The cleanliness leaves something to be desired; the sheets smelt of stale cigarettes. a note on this, the next morning when waiting at the bottom of the stairs for the bags to come down, sheets were carelessly thrown down into a laundry hamper, narrowly missing my partner.

We considered checking in to another hotel but every hotel was either fully booked or charging £150+ for a night. We decided to just stay awake and keep checking the babys temp to make sure she didn't overheat.

As many have said, the hotel in theory is in a good location for things like the Safari and a pitstop to break up a journey. I'm surprised of the 4+ stars for this hotel as its up there with one of the worst stays I've experienced.

In short: Good location, poor hotel with outdated decor, poor service from the staff, sauna-inspired rooms, travellers next door and zero accessibility. If you're bringing a baby, ask for a refund and stay elsewhere.

A decent stay, although I will say I was expecting the room to be slightly more cleaner and there is limited parking as a there is a restaurant adjacent to the lodge. On top of that, this Travelodge is in a rural area, there is WiFi but keep in mind you do have to pay £3 for 24 hours. On the plus side however, there was a fan when I arrived in the room and the windows were already open, which was very helpful as this June is very warm.

Very disappointed with the cleanliness of the accomodation, it was absolutely filthy.

The room had a bad odour and had obviously not been cleaned to a high standard in a very long time.

As you can see from the pictures, there was dirt throughout the room and finding a clump of red hair in our bed and a toenail on the bathroom floor was the last straw.
We had booked to stay 3 nights but abandoned the trip after one as the cleanliness was unacceptable.

When leaving, a member of staff asked why we were leaving? I informed her that the room was filthy and I could not stay there another night, with the smell. She was understanding and apologised. I must state that reception staff were all very good and welcoming.

Once I got home, I emailed an official complaint to the hotel but they didn't really acknowledge the complaint, they ignored what I said about the cleanliness and said they try their best to keep noise levels down?

They didn't acknowledge the fact that it was a massive disappointment and inconvenience for us, having to abandon family celebrations to head home on a 3 hour drive in snow snd ice as we had no accommodation.

They did eventually acknowledge that it wasn't up to standard and offered us a complementary early check-in and late check out on our next visit which was a joke. I certainly will not be staying there again
I explained this to them and they replied saying they have refunded us for one night and I have not heard any correspondence from them since. Terrible customer service at managerial level.

A below average Travelodge. However, our main complaint was due to the presence of bed bugs. I complained when checking out and was promised a call from the manager later that day. I did not receive a call so contacted Customer Services the following day. After an email back and forth, they sent me a report of a third party inspection of the room, carried out almost 24 hours after our departure. This allowed the hotel time to thoroughly clean and vacuum the room and bed. Despite offering photographic evidence of the bites my wife experienced, the only apology I received from them was for how I was feeling following our stay. No apology for the promised call not being delivered, no apology for the experience, no offer of any recompense or even a good will gesture.
Although the third party inspection of the room gave an "all clear", this was almost 24 hours after our departure. It would appear the hotel chose to cover their tracks and clean and vacuum the room and bed prior to inspection.
While I usually stay in more premium hotels, I have regularly used Travelodge for work. This is unlikely to continue. I was willing to forgive the bed bug experience, but not the outrageous indifference of Travelodge Customer Services.

The room wasn’t clean. Dust on the walls and cobwebs hanging from the ceilings. Numerous moths and spiders in the room which I had to kill before my daughter would go to sleep. We wiped the dust from the soap dispenser in the bathroom and removed hair from the sink.

This Travelodge was one of the cheapest in the area on the night we wanted to stay and since we were visiting friends in the area and simply staying overnight it seemed a good choice.

It would have been had Travelodge on its web page pointed out that there is a caravan park immediately outside the windows at the back of the hotel. The visitors were clearly there for the weekend and having a good time - well into the small hours.
