Amazing couple of nights in an idyllic secluded well equipped little annex, owners are friendly and helpful. The hot tub and sauna we're just the sort of relaxation needed in these miserable covid times! Will definitely book again.

We stopped in the annex a few weeks ago.The annex needs some general repairs. The toilet seat is hanging off, the kitchen smells of musk, the curtain hooks are coming away from the wall and the slippers given are two different sizes and didn't fit. We were expecting more privacy with the annex, but if the blinds are open to let in air or light,.people walking past to get to the car park can see straight in to the annex..to get to the hot tub, there is a step by the annex which isn't well lit, so could easily trip up or down it.. the hot tub and sauna are lovely, but again didn't feel private when u can see in to the kitchen of the main house and people up and down the stairs. I feel the lay out of the annex and hot tub area could be alot more private than what it is. The host was lovely, especially on arrival, but upon checking out didn't seem as friendly. The annex needs alot more work to make it more modern and appealing. It's easy to look dirty and the amount of cobwebs etc in there was really of putting. The bed is very old and the mattress is very low and very soft..hard to get comfatable in it. You could hear the boiler through out the night also. So much can be done with this to make it better. Was an ok visit, but again dissapointed with alot of things. Sadly wouldn't recommend or return.

Booked this a birthday treat earlier in the year so was something to look forward too. We had a few faults with the annexe and the communication between owners and us guests. So when I booked it was stated a free bottle of wine. I thought great! Lovely birthday treat. Sadly we didn't receive it. No times to check in/check out. Stated that we would receive WiFi. Their wasn't any. When advertising as a B&B surely that's breakfast too? Was unaware that it's a prebooked thing. We had a bbq which is their to use for guests so we used a few sheets of kitchen roll and that's all there was. No washing up liquid left to wash plates. And no shampoo and conditioner left. Also it wasn't that "private" owners smoking right next to the annexe which wasn't very nice as I'm a non smoker. House right on a road that's quite busy so noisy traffic. Pub over road lovely. And a great pint!

I had booked a cabin in the garden but this was not to be ! When I arrived I was greeted by a neighbour/friend.Told to take off my shoes and walk through the house . I said but I didn’t book a room in the house and was told there was something wrong with the cabins . Lead to a creepy room see photo and no key or lock so you couldn’t leave anything valuable . Went over the road to the pub for a meal arrived back to find neighbour ? and maybe owner who barely said hello. Shower bathroom was across the corridor and hot water trickled out . Towel provided was old and like a Brillo pad . In the morning I headed downstairs about 8 am. I had booked breakfast but there was no one around, tried to get to my car but the gate was padlocked so had to walk back around the house to get out . Wierd , no hospitality and gross mis advertising .

I have to say I am absolutely not surprised by this review after your constant rudeness towards myself and staff members. Including disgusting text messages sent to my private number in the middle of the night. Firstly I am not sure how many time’s I have to explain that you never booked a cabin! From the beginning you had booked the standard double room, you was never moved from one to another. You arrived back from the pub and the first things that came out of your mouth was rude comments about the pub across the road. Therefore I just asked you if everything was ok and you said yes. Our standard double room is advertised as having a private bathroom across the hall way. If you had read the description before you booked that would have been made clear. Again, I have said multiple time’s that you never booked breakfast either. I have proof of the booking which I have sent you multiple time’s. When you left you tried to leave via another guests private area. This area is always locked and you didn’t seem to have a problem the other 4 time’s you left. The main gates are never locked and the same pathway that you arrived via was there when you left also. Your attitude towards staff and our property was grossly disgusting and for that reason you wouldn’t be welcome back to Steppe Farm. Take care.
