We arrived here very late on a cold miserable windy night and were instantly made to feel welcome. Room was clean and the decor up to date and the restaurant and common areas looked great. Plenty of big fluffy towels in the bathroom and we couldnt fault the place for the rate we paid. Breakfast was excellent and all freshly...

Been here many times with family and friends for dinner. Peaceful, beautiful and very clean place. Enough parking spaces. Food taste great, well presented, good vine, polite staff. It is not cheap, but not overpriced. Will go back

We had booked a table for 7.00pm and received a warm welcome. We had a drink at the bar while choosing our meal from the set menu which had quite a good selection. Restaurant was quite busy and had quite a nice atmosphere. We had the chicken terrain for starters and a selection of breads with dips and butter which...

Went for get together. Food was luke warm, my meal wouldn't be enough for my grandson who is 7. Temperature around my legs was 16degrees. The toilets were freezing. No radiator at all in there. There is no atmosphere or as someone else said, no ambience. Strange place.

Stayed for one night on a Travelzoo deal. The hotel is off the beaten track so once we arrived (around 5 p.m.) we were there for the night. The bedrooms are in a separate building to reception and the restaurant which meant you had to go outside to go the meal in the evening. Not a big deal but as...

Really pleased with the whole experience. Room was lovely and warm when we arrived. It was nice and quiet, had all the facilities that we expected and was clean and tidy. And being on the ground floor was ideal for our elderly dog. A request to have a later check out went without a hitch, much appreciated. Breakfast was fantastic...

We stayed in October 2016. It was in a really good location and very quiet. Perfect for visiting the many museums and steam trains in the area. The food in the restaurant was amazing. We even got a good deal on dinner being as we were staying there. Breakfast was just as good as dinner. The only slight disappointment was...

We visited here for lunch, the room was reasonable but the tables didn't have much space to move due to the fact that there were coffee cups laid out from the start.. The carvery was quite average, served on fairly small plates too. Staff were very pleasant.

Our room was quiet, warm and comfortable. The bed was good. Front desk staff were really friendly and helpful. There was ample parking. The restaurant bar was modern and again friendly staff. We stayed 2 nights and ate in the restaurant both nights. The meal was excellent on both nights. Good wine list and not too pricey. Service was good....

Sunday Lunch once again. The Food (Carvery) was cooked to my liking with a really good choice of vegetables. The Staff are always polite and pleasant. It really is very nice place. It was fully booked which is no surprise. If I had to be critical, it is a shame the Lounge area was not bigger especially as often the...
