The hosts David and Debbie helped me out when I stayed and I am very grateful for their help. I have stayed here a number of times and always try to stay here when I visit the area, as the rooms and breakfasts are consistently high quality.

Comfortable, welcoming, good value, good location. Full, tasty breakfasts. Dave a great source of local info. The Gainsborough Hotel, a couple of minutes walk away, does good dinners. We stayed there last September - must have forgotten to write a thank-you review.

We came for two nights and found the couple running this B&B to be delightful. The room was immaculate and well provisioned, though the bed a bit too soft for my personal preference. It was a little noisy, with squeaky floorboards, sound carrying from upstairs and what I assume was a noisy boiler starting up at 6am. Otherwise, very good all round and I highly recommend the scrambled eggs!

Don’t expect the Ritz. Instead enjoy a great value, well organised and friendly hotel run by friendly and helpful hosts. Very clean and a lovely breakfast which we preordered when we checked in. A great system which benefitted both parties. The local pub β€œ The weary Traveller β€œ is a throw back to the 60s.we tolerated it because we are of that era. Others may not.
