Paid over £20 for a beef ale casserole and found the beef to be untrimmed and tasteless. Really suprised and disappointed. Pic attached. The staff are excellent, dog friendly and great location hence the 3 stars. Avoid meat dishes

We stayed for two nights as part of a family group weekend. The room (King Charle's - with misplaced apostrophe) was very dated, although reasonably comfortable. the bathroom was good - though who has carpet in a bathroom any more? Breakfast was variable - great...More
