For our 45th wedding anniversary we decided to do something different and instead of going out for an evening meal we thought it would be fun to go out for breakfast. We checked out the Talbot website and noted that breakfast made use of local...More

Firstly, this is an inn, not a hotel. If you're expecting posh, don't go there, but I think this is a superb place. Right on the river, great pub, beer garden, (with pigs), loads of parking, great staff, great food, and rooms to stay in....More

We knew this was a pub when we booked and not a hotel and we certainly aren't pretentious people - we are walkers / cyclists and fit in with most - maybe you had a different room to us (or even a different breakfast - ours was full English but certainly not good). I have never put a bad review on trip advisor and hope I don't have to do so again in the future.
