We had a super lunch recently at the beautifully refurbished Stone Manor. What a joy to be able to say it was pretty near perfect. From the food, staff, service, ambiance. A real treat. Well done and thank you.

We visited this hotel for a festive charity tea last Sunday. We were asked to be there by 3pm. We were offered a pleasant glass of mulled wine on arrival and then nothing happened for the next 75 mins. We just sat our tables and waited - and waited. It was difficult to know whether this was the fault of...

Having visited the hotel many times over the years I think that the recent refurbishment has possibly brought it back to life. I think the room we were in was previously the Garden room. The evening was fun for over 200 people! The food was not amazing but was certainly above average for this sort of event, The entertainment was...

We had an over night stop here and the room was lovely , the decor throughout the hotel was smart. We ate in the restaurant and the food was very nice, staff and service could have been better and we were overcharged on our bill. Breakfast was continental with an option for cooked at extra cost. Seeing was peaceful and...

We have used this hotel for over 40 years and love it. Hogarts recently bought it from Best Western and have upgraded it beautifully. They have filled in the pool and made a mini theatre area by the pool house which looks like could be for weddings. We treated ourselves as it was my birthday and we stayed in one...

We've been to this hotel on a regular basis for family meals over the years, we've never stayed overnight before as the decor in the rooms wasn't to our taste. However since it has been refurbished we decided to to give it a try. We weren't disappointed, we stayed in room 212 which is an executive. It was spotlessly clean,...

This was my fourth stay at Stone Manor and I wish I could write another glowing report but for this stay I can't because the stay was ruined from the moment I checked in - being a Saturday before Christmas, I specifically asked whether there were any parties taking place - Yes, but you wont hear anything as you are...

We enjoyed the Stone Manor and found that the standard of the rooms was fantastic since the refurbishment. Breakfast was lovely too although they could possibly have nicer toast! We were there for a wedding and it all went really well - food was lovely too!

I loved the Tudor-Styled, massively rambling old buildings, the open-effect fires, the huge double bed, the magnificent surroundings, the food and - by no means least - the staff. Although I try not to be hyper-critical I normally find a minor fault with the room in that there's always something missing, but if there was I didn't find it. It's...

My husband, sister and I had two nights stay, 7th to 9th November, and are visiting again 22nd to 24th this month again. We were not there on pleasure, but stressful family business. We had a wonderful stay, the bed and pillows were very comfortable, the bedrooms and bathrooms, were luxurious, and everything was so well thought out, and very clean....
