Stourport Manor Hotel, while appreciated for its inviting atmosphere and convenient location with ample parking, has faced criticism from visitors for its room conditions, which are often described as unclean and poorly maintained. Our Theatre group have spent a weekend at Stourport Manor 9 times over the last 11 years. Although we have seen a few changes over the years we always have a lovely time and this year was no exception.

The staff were friendly, very hard working and nothing was too much trouble. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed.

We requested extra vegetarian and vegan options on our menu and these were very good.

Coffee and tea breaks arrived on time in our conference suite and the accompanying biscuits or chocolate tart were delicious.

Excellent value for money and in a lovely setting (I saw a lovely sunrise from the pool during an early swim)

Highly recommend for a group of friends, family or club. We are already thinking of booking our weekend for next year.

This hotel is not to far from home and a welcome belated valentines treat. The room was cheap and we chose not to include breakfast. The weather was awful but what we did see of the setting is that it is very plesant. Check in was easy and the girl very cheerful however as ive seen mentioned elsewhere theres a bit of a toilety smell in this area and even more so as you go towards the modern extention and the stairs up. Our room for some reason had a double and a single bed. Personally i usually look forward to the huge hotel beds so was a little disappointed with the double. The room was clean but quite heavy marking and scuffs to paintwork and the bathroom could have been cleaner as tiles were both dirty with some missed ( hopefully) mud and the grout and silicon a bit mouldy. The anti slip bath mat was gross!!! Because it was a bargain room rate i could overlook this but no biscuits in the hospitality tray cannot be forgiven!! We ate in the restaurant that evening but it was freezing cold in there and literally no atmosphere. The food was average pub grub at inflated hotel prices. For example i had 3 scoops of ice cream which tasted great but at just shy of £6 to have 3 small scoops served in a plastic icecream glass with no attempt at decoration chocolate swirl, waffer etc i did feel a tad ripped off. Overnight our sleep was constantly interupted by a very noisy radiator that clanged, whined and made all sorts of racket. In the morning i went for a swim and really enjoyed the leisure facilities and because of this and the relative inexpense of our stay i would stay again but a few small tweaks and attention to detail this place could be great.

As this our first Christmas in a hotel on arrival I own up to panicking that I had made a mistake as you could only see the modern extension from the car park but my fears were relieved by the lovely friendly ladies on the desk who welcomed us warmly.
The room was small & conventional as hotel rooms go but everything was clean & functioning & despite being close to a fire exit/carpark was very quiet. The hotel is dog friendly & this room would have been perfect but sadly for us our dog died shortly before our stay so unable to comment further on this aspect.
We had preselected food from menus sent to us & there was a great choice of options which proved to be nicely presented, hot & very tasty. It was lovely to dine at times to suit & not feel hurried. The staff in the dining areas throughout the stay were polite & attentive & I felt that being allowed to wear festive jumpers etc made for a really lovely relaxed atmosphere. The small gift of honey from the hotels bees & cookies etc was also a lovely surprise.
We opted to not have the room serviced in return for complimentary drinks which again I felt was a great incentive to be environmentally friendly.
There is a small leisure complex which comprises a swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room & sauna plus a gym & dance room which all appeared very well maintained and clean too during the times we used them every day during our stay.
We were able to walk down into Stourport as well as venture further afield to local National Trust properties. Obviously due to the time of year many places were not open but there were lots to choose from if we revisit.
Overall our first Christmas away was a success & again congratulations must rest with the staff who really did make the difference. From the lady who wrote to me expressing her sympathy for the loss of our dog Paddi to those who we encountered at the various places around the hotel they all seemed to work hard. The net result was we went home with good memories of our stay feeling relaxed and looking forward to the New Year.

We went as a family and needed a double and 2 family rooms and had DBB. The hotel was very accommodating about the needs of our family and staff were friendly and helpful. We had 3 nights over the half-term break and the hotel was quite busy. There was slow service in the restaurant on the Sunday, but this vastly improved on the next 2 nights. The menu remained the same for the 3 nights and it was possible to have meals a la carte which we had on the last night. The food was good and there were no complaints from any of our party. Also there was plenty of choice at breakfast time. There is a small pool in the hotel and on the first night we had to wait before others got out so that we could go in, which wasn't a problem. There is a nature reserve just over the road, which was lovely and it is very close to the West Midlands safari park, both of which we all enjoyed. The hotel has a scheme that if you do not have your room cleaned you received a voucher for a free drink. We took them up on this offer. The hard working room staff were really helpful and friendly. All in all for a reasonable priced and good value hotel I can recommend this hotel especially for those with children.

Check in went well although felt for the one member of staff managing the queue of guests
twin room booked which was pretty small and the beds were together. Site images are very misleading. Bed are pretty hard and very uncomfortable, the sheet are unfitted and mattress protector ripped. Pillows were pretty hard and of poor quality. There was no room service at all nor any top up of refreshments during our 3 day stay - not value for money. guest meal trays were left in corridors for several hours.
carpets in urgent need of a clean but ideally replacing and many smell damp and are badly stained
Room was cold and the radiator wasn't working had to go to reception and ask numerous times before it was finally switched on
Food was average and overpriced. Several young waitresses in dining room dressed in very short and quite inappropriate skirts doing little for quests.
Bar drinks choice very limited, poorly stocked. 0-1 person manning the bar with a long queue, service was slow, Drinks prices expensive compared to normal.
Pool spa is relaxing although the pool is small and area pretty tired, sauna was also out of order. Changing room shower cubicles very tight for showering, no spinner for swim costumes which would be beneficial. Swim towels were rough.
Several fire doors were lodged open either wedged or with use of cleaning supplies.
Location is lovely with ample car parking but sadly the hotel is very tired and in need of a makeover and is not worth the price paid for the room, more 1/2 star, but definitely not a 4 star.
would not recommend

We enjoyed a brief sojourn at the Stourport Manor Hotel and chose the hotel as it allows dogs. We were given a ground floor room that was spacious and we had a comfy bed, an ensuite with bath and shower; shampoo and shower gel were provided and there were tea and coffee facilities in the room.

Our check-in went smoothly with Chantelle expertly giving us the necessary information and we booked a slot in the spa to enjoy a swim, jacuzzi and steam before dinner. The sauna was unfortunately broken when we were there and although the gym looked adequately equipped, we were happy to enjoy the spa a few times during our stay and didn’t use the gym. Towels are provided at the gym reception and the staff were very good at keeping it clean and safe for all guests. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult to use the pool and are not allowed in the other areas of the spa.

The grounds of the hotel are well kept and there’s outdoor seating as well as indoor lounges: a spacious bar, on-site restaurant and a conference suite which was being used for weddings whilst we were there. The food wasn’t quite to our taste as the heat lamps at breakfast dried the food which was pre-cooked and the fruit, yogurt and cereals were very limited.

We decided to go outside for dinner and went to the lovely White Hart pub in Hartlebury just a mile away that had a great menu. Well worth going.

The hotel offers “foot golf” their version of kicking a football into cups around the course and tennis courts. I also noticed pool table off the bar.

We had everything we needed and the staff were all very accommodating especially at reception and Chantelle, Bill and Amy were lovely!

We would recommend this hotel and would go back again if we are in the area. The Malvern Hills are only 45 minutes drive away and Stourport itself has the River Severn and is only a mile away. We walked there through Hartlebury Common which is just across the road from the hotel and is a lovely walk of about 2.5 miles.

Reading mixed reviews about this hotel,I must admit we weren’t sure what awaited us . Receptionist was very friendly & helpful. Our room which was on the ground floor( which we had requested as I,m getting over knee replacement surgery) was spotless and quite large. My husband used the swimmingpool, which again could find no fault with, same as the jacuzzi. Onto evening meal. What people should realise that this is a Best Western Hotel, so, if you want tablecloths, a wine waiter, that’s not going to happen. The staff very friendly, menu, well, to be honest not a wide selection, more Pub food, ie, Fish & Chips Lasagne, Pizza etc. We had Fish and chips, came piping hot, and very filling, not too much batter either on the fish. We followed by Cheesecake, and an assortment of ice-cream . Under the deal we had we got a free bottle of wine, we chose the Red, and that was spot on. Breakfast again was , as far as we were concerned, catered for all, Fruit juices, Assortment of Teas, & coffee. Food hot, as were the plates. It is self-service, we went down just after 8:30 and the food was fresh looking not dried up at all. This hotel is spot on with cleanliness, and hygiene, keeping everything everything wiped down all the time. Hand sanitizer everywhere. Ok. Probably the Bar area, needs a bit of TLC actually, but seats & sofas were comfortable.but for what we paid under Great Little Breaks. It was good value for money

First time in Stourport and at this hotel and both were a little disappointing. The hotel was very tired looking although the bedroom was fine, size wise - the bathroom was compact and bijou; the buffet breakfast was the traditional full English with fresh fruit etc; but by 9ish it was becoming dry; the bar had a decent selection of spirits but no real ales; the whole area was functional and lacked charm. We ate in the hotel the first evening and as expected it was hotel priced; the meal was ample and quite tasty. We had a bottle of Shiraz which we really enjoyed but was £20. The reception staff were excellent as was the waitress Kerry who chatted away to us and gave us tips on places to visit and then asked us how are day had been, she was lovely. Due to Covid the rooms weren't cleaned everyday but we could get extra items if needed. Plenty of parking. Fire alarm went off one evening and no-one took it serious though the staff did eventually ask us to exit into the parking area. The swimming pool and sauna were very nice and not full of people because they limit occupancy to 20 but at the most that we saw was about 5.

Little disappointed we were expecting a lot more considering it’s a 4 star.
Room was ok spacious I found the bed comfy my partner didn’t, relatively clean but they need to focus on cleaning windows and cobwebs as they were hanging down to our bed it takes 2 mins to get rid of them.
No milk in the room but this was resolved very quickly.
Evening meal was nice, the drinks at the bar were ridiculously expensive so didn’t have anymore we have been to many hotels and found this the most expensive for bar drinks.
The breakfast was ok had everything your needed, but what was most disappointing is you pay for a breakfast and get watered down fresh juices which we couldn’t drink, they put all these signs saying high in vitamin c it’s practically water not good enough.
Staff had so much attitude it’s unbelievable one lady said and I quote “ I could die right now” just because they were short staffed try running your own business she will know what stress is then, the best staff was a lad called John the woman in my opinion need replacing as it’s brining the hotel down.
Overall it was ok but I wouldn’t return
