Visited for a meal on Friday and what a lovely evening. The staff were just so attentive and couldn't do enough for us, they were also very knowlegeable about the menu and wine list. The food was beautifully presented and really enjoyable. Decor is dated...More
All staff were very friendly. The room was comfy and had everything we required (could only be improved if a fan was provided!) Breakfast was a good selection. All in all a great stay and we would visit again.
The hotel staff are all very customer orientated. When u walk in there is a lovely friendly atmosphere. The food and service are very good. The room is spacious, the shower is enormous. The restaurant serves food with an Italian feel to it. If we...More
We stopped here for one night. We chose the hotel based on its location close to a friend's home where we were attending a party. We normally stay in big chain hotels but this was a lovely alternative. Plenty of parking, nice restaurant and bar....More

Thank you for your question. In terms of taxis from Manchester Airport I would personally recommend using a private company such as (Metro or Lynx) as opposed to the traditional British "black cabs" which are often much more expensive.
It is difficult to give an exact figure but I would expect that a private firm would cost just over GBP 10.00.
With regards to the train transportation, it is a little more tricky. As there is no direct train from Manchester Airport to Stockport you will need to go into Manchester Piccadilly and change - this journey can take about 30 - 40 minutes and typically costs between GBP 4 -8.
Although it does cost a little more I would personally recommend a taxi as it usually only takes about 15 minutes.
I do hope this helps, if you have any further questions please don't hesitate to get in touch.
