Would definitely recommend this place to stay. Friendly hosts, nothing too much bother. Dog friendly. Nice quiet setting but close enough to visit the surrounding area. Canals, big pit, Abergavenny, the beacons and so much more. There are lots of walks on your doorstep if you wanted, without having to get in your car. Sheep in the fields and the owners...

We had two fabulous weeks in South Wales staying in the Stables of the Old Barn. What a great location for all the attractions of the area not just locally but further afield. National mining museum, canal barge trip, steam railway into the mountains, Brecon Beacons, Welsh borders, easy train connection to Cardiff, the Rhonda, St Fagans, Wye valley, all...

I booked Stables for my friend and I for a few days mid November. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will not hesitate to visit again. We arrived to a very warm welcome and a lovely selection of local produce. The cottage was cosy, well-equipped and comfortable and little touches like flowers and nice toiletries made it a bit "special"....

Lovely welcome pack , really good advice on what to do in the area including how to navigate through the massive roadworks. We spent time walking and running when nice then visited BIg Pit , methyr...

Only stayed for one night for a wedding at Llansantffraed Court which is just down the road. Arrived mid morning to a warm welcome and a stunning location. The proprietor was very friendly and made the stay very relaxed. Room was comfortable and had good views to the river Usk. Breakfast was well worth getting up for.

We had a very relaxing week staying in this wonderful accommodation. We had a warm welcome from the owners, and were showed around the Old Rectory Stables. We were self catering (but they do B&B if you prefer). The open plan lounge with small dinning table and fully equipped kitchen was lovely. We had a double bedroom with en-suite shower,...
