Lovely campsite. Wonderfully quiet with amazing views. Basic washing/toilet facilities but they were always clean and had hot water. Colin, the owner, was a really nice bloke, and gave us several options of pitch. There was even an "honesty shop" for any treats/milk etc you may of forgotten.
One tip.... take a torch.... no lighting except for shower/toilet block, although we loved this as the star watching of an evening was great!

Best campsite we've stayed at in North Devon! Excellent shower & toilet facilities. Breath taking views across the valley & sea. Owners really take care of the site & have an interest in their campers. Would certainly return again.

Having been coming here for a number of years, we tried somewhere different last year but we missed Lower Pennycrocker.
The relaxed approach, the acres of space, the amazing views are all reasons to keep coming back here.
The weather was slightly challenging this year, bring lots of heavy duty pegs as it is quite exposed!
The friendly welcome from Colin and the clean, functional and well maintained facilities are all plus points. On the busiest weekends of the year the hot water can be used up, but I'd rather have free flowing hot water the rest of the time than restrictions on usage. You just have to wait half an hour for the heaters to do their job.
Great campsite and we will keep coming back.

Lower Pennycrocker campsite is a hidden gem and everything you could ask for in a campsite. Beautiful views from every angle and lush green fields to pitch up on. The owner, Colin was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The toilets and wash block are clean and spacious and a little honesty shop sits on site and provides a range of snacks, meals and necessities. We had booked to stay for two nights but unfortunately the weather took a turn for the worst and we made the decision to pack up and head home but Colin could not have been more understanding and helpful if he tried. Despite the weather which simply could not be helped we will DEFINITELY be returning to Lower Pennycrocker next year! Cannot recommend enough.

I stayed at Lower Pennycrocker with my family for 5 nights, Colin gave us a really friendly welcome to the site, views that greeted us as we arrived were stunning and we were happy with the generous size pitch we had been allocated.

Facilities were clean and never too busy. The honesty shop was really handy especially for freezing ice blocks.

We had a great experience for our first time camping and we will certainly be back.
