We stopped here for hot chocolate - just what we needed after a blustery coastal path walk! Very friendly owner, who I think was just closing but stayed open to serve us. Will definitely come back next time we're in Gorran Haven, if only to try the curry!

Thank Ginnie S
Management response:

The coastal path walks are not always blustery, so hope to see you again when the weather improves. Thank you for writing this review, and glad you enjoyed the hot chocolate.

We attended the Curry Night on the Friday night before we returned home. We booked a few days before and placed our orders of 6 mild chicken curries and one medium veg curry. On the night the service was great - the owner was very friendly. The curries were delicious and exactly what we ordered - our young grandchildren finished...

Enjoyed a leisurely coffee and scrummy piece of cake here, just up from the beach. Lovely outside terrace to watch the world go by. Nothing too much trouble for (what I believe to be) the new owner (August 2016).

Thank Nick T
Management response:

Glad you enjoyed the coffee and cake. Yes, it's a good place to shelter from the wind of the beach on the outside terrace, and watch the world go by.

We came for the Curry Night at the end of our holiday. Absolutely beautiful food, attentive service and the restaurant was absolutely spotless! The curry was fragrant, tasty and served with yummy onion bhaji's , samosa's, poppadum's and mango chutney which complimented the curry well. For afters our group had either Homemade Victoria Sponge (to die for) Chocolate Cake (chocoholics...

Called in for a drink here to a friendly welcome and chat and a nicely made cappucino! The property is on the market for sale as the current owners are looking to go back to their native area,so next season could possibly be new owners in.It has a good potential and is well situated within this attractive seaside village, but...

Really enjoyed my stay at this B&B. Bob and Sue were just great! Nice comfortable room, spacious bathroom and very clean. I was also spoilt for choice at breakfast. I would definitely stay here again if I'm there next.

What a nice little eatery tucked in a corner in Gorran Haven yards from the beach. We popped in for an unexpected light lunch one grey day in mid October. Owners Sue and Bob are clearly enterprising, running this small cafe/bistro themselves and doing all the cooking themselves. Although not Cornish, Bob makes a mean Cornish pasty and seems an...

Owners Bob and Sue were the perfect hosts and treated us like family. Bob cooked a superb full English breakfast with quality fresh bacon, sausage, egg, beans, tomato, and mushrooms accompanied with homemeal bread/toast and preservatives, cereal and fruit juice. The cappuccino coffee was the best my wife had tasted and it certainly gave her a good start for the...

Owners Bob & Sue are perfect hosts and provide a very warm and friendly welcome after a long drive from West Sussex. Harbours Reach offers lots of character in a super location and is just a couple of minutes from the harbour. Room two was clean and modern but very small and cramped with only a skylight to compensate for...

We stopped in for lunch as we had travelled down for the Gorran Regatta. We ordered 2 salads and drinks. The plates when served were full of food but the accompanying French stick was rock hard and stale, the prawns were warm and the salad was bitter from the heart of the lettuce. The total was £23 of which the...
