We have been lucky enough to stay and eat at the Merrymoor' a warmer welcome and fantastic breakfast cannot be found. The rooms are good sized but the breakfast and service & flexibility are just better than home. The local atmosphere together with the beach views makes a stay at anytime brilliant - very dog friendly too

Spent a most enjoyable weeks stay at the Merrymoor Inn, we really could not fault it. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to help, the room was great and the view across the cove was absolutely fabulous. Good choice of menu both for breakfast and dinner and the bar and restaurant had plenty of atmosphere. Prices... More

My fiance and I arrived late after flying to Newquay. The restaurant was closed, however the owner greeted us with open arms and went out of his way to provide us with a tasty platter for our evening meal. The rooms were very well equipped and clean. The general atmosphere was uplifting and friendly. :-) The location was ideal because... More

We spent a very nice few days at the Merrymoor. We has a sea view room which was a good size and the bathroom was well appointed and very clean. The tea and coffee facilities were first class(including specialist teas, hot chocolate and biscuits). We took our dog Sid who was welcomed in the bar and was reasonably charged at... More

Great place to stay. Stayed for two nights, staff so friendly, helpful and down to earth, lovely room overlooking the bay, not big, but spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Would recommend. Breakfast prepared to order which is a delight. We ate there one night and food was well prepared and tasty.

Having ordered drinks & picked up menu, when returning to bar 10 mins later was informed that the kitchen was now closed. Now it does state that 2.30 is last food orders, but... More

Visited the Merrymoor Inn for a last minute one night stay. Staff welcoming and helpful, nice room and facilities. We didnt have an evening meal as had already eaten before arrival but food being served smelt wonderful and was well presented. Great position by sea. Fantastic breakfast. Will be visiting again

Visited the Merrymore most days on our recent stay at The Park and although we did not eat in-house the food it looked good and well priced. We had a takeaway Pizza one evening and tasted lovely albeit with a bit of a wait. Staff seemed friendly enough even after a long summer and drinks priced accordingly with the area.... More

Service is a dirty word in this place. The staff treat you like an inconvenience and, unfortunately, the manager is the worst of them with a very surly attitude. I imagine they don't have to try hard because they're the only pub there and passing tourist trade is unaware of what to expect. Any other business would have gone bust... More
