The Cobblestone cottage is behind and managed by The Wheel House. Really nice & pleasantly surprised by this cosy place. We wanted a long weekend break into half term which a lot of other cottages would not allow (too a short booking!)This was perfect! Cosy living room, kitchen new and fully equip with two bedrooms (one with a double bed... More

On arrival not even a hello. No "good morning" or smiles from staff and uninterested. Catalogue of issues and very slow service as chef seemed to spend more time out the side near bins chatting whilst customers complained about slow service. Such a shame as nice old building in great location...could be great place with different staff.

Super fish and moules.....the sauces wholly let down the pasta and the moules......very disappointing. Attention needed in this area would lift the food to being very good. Monday night may be a bad night but we are only visiting for a week.

Really promising location for a restaurant just overlooking the harbour with fishermen unloading their daily catch and gulls fighting for scraps thrown overboard. There is a wonderful olde worlde feel about the place and as we ascended into the first floor restaurant we were greeted by our first pirate (albeit a statue) we ordered fish and chips and a fish... We were greeted by friendly staff and shown to our table. Ordered our drinks whilst looking at the menu. The drinks took ages to arrive, and considering how many staff were on duty. We waited far too long for our meal.....and my partners meal was missing the scallops. A waitress finely bought them in a little dish...disappointing evening.

There were several hairs found in the food. Both meals was incredibly bland - no seasoning on my meal (sea bass with spinach and mashed sweet potato) or my husbands (seafood trio). The fish was good quality, but the meal was not worth the £15 per dish we paid. It was literally just boiled veg and grilled fish. Plain. Anyone... More

We loved our overnight stay, the staff were welcoming and helpful. It was quintesessentially Cornish, incredible location right on the harbour. The view from the room was so beautiful. My mum was visiting from NZ and at 85 is not incredibly mobile but she managed the two flights of stairs to the room as there were adequate handrails and the... More

Called on BH weekend. Staff uninterested, poor service, beerand cider overpriced and not good quality, food overpriced and average at best. Would not bother again and left feeling decidedly ripped off.
