Booked to stay here with my lady wife on a rare night away from the kids to visit the Eden project and enjoy a gig as part of the Eden sessions. Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff, a good sized, well appointed room and a great price to boot. Is only a 5 minute (£5) taxi ride to Eden so a...

We stayed here for 3 nights, The Royal Inn is in the perfect location for visiting local attractions. The rooms are large and quiet if you are in the extension at the back, but the rooms above the bar could be a problem when they have a live band. The restaurant had a large choice on the menu, serving chips...

On a cycling tour with a friend and this is our first night stop. Really friendly service, clean rooms and scrumptious food. What more is needed? They were very helpful in offering a safe place to lock the bikes. Normal tea and coffee fare in the bedroom. Dinner was amazing! A real surprise for "pub food". Make this a must-stop if...

But it's the Royal itself that is the real star , very reasonable prices , with a warm and friendly relaxed atmosphere in the excellent restaurant and bar , with friendly , helpful staff . The rooms are...

Unusually, a hotel near a rail track that gets five stars from us. Good food, friendly, helpful staff, decent sized rooms all at a very easy able price. We really enjoyed our stay, would have liked it to have been for longer.
