Having looked at the reviews we booked this for stop over while visiting friends. All I can say is we are totally baffled by the positive reviews and the two star AA rating.

I am really sorry about this. First -- the smell of dogs. We do take dogs and a dog HAD been in that room. We air and clean the room. These new people arrived early and we let them into the room...possibly it wasn't quite...More
We expected old fashioned and outdated. We didnt expect musty smells, dirt, dust, cobwebs and dodgy wiring. The lady owner may well be a lovely lady but she is too old to run a business and obviously can't see the dirt and dust. There were...More
I can fully recommend this B&B if you want something a bit different reminding you of times gone by. Dorothy is a delightful lady, the staff are friendly and helpful, breakfast is plentiful and freshly cooked, there is a sunny garden, and when we were...More

For holiday guests we cook and serve breakfast at 8.30 AM. But if anyone needs to catch a boat (to Scilly ) or to make an early start for some reason we can usually manage something earlier. For workmen in the winter we frequently do breakfast at 7.30 or even earlier. For a really, really early breakfast - we let them make tea and toast etc for themselves in the kitchen and leave out fruit, cheese, yoghurt etc. Dorothy at Penkerris
